Can milk be refrigerated and saved for later after the babies have already drank from the cup?? I only ask because I know you coudn't(or shouldn't) do that with formula in bottles because of bacteria growth. As I said in a previous post, I'm having trouble making the milk in cup transition, so I end up with a lot of wasted milk. Seems like a silly question but I really don't know.

At least once a day, my kids have leftover milk from a meal. I put the cup back in the fridge, and they can grab it whenever they get thirsty, or I add to it for the next meal. I don't save leftovers a second time, though.

I agree. I save it once t hen it gets tossed no matter what after the second time. (At least that's what I do)

Mine drink out of theirs up to 2x a day, after sticking it in the fridge. They usually finish their first cup and I am refilling it, rather than getting it back out, kwim?

I posted this same question when I first arrived in 1-5 too!! :D Glad I wasn't the only one!!

I use one sippy all day if it goes directly back into fridge after meals! If they manage to snag one and run around with it and it gets warm - then I do a new one, but I try to keep the milk in the kitchen - they like to make messes!

We do all the time with all 3 of our kids. If they don't finish it, it goes in the frig. to use later.

Same here. Glad I'm not being bad!

Mine only get milk twice a day -- breakfast and dinner/bedtime. So if they start with a clean cup and there's a substantial amount left, I put it in the fridge for next time. (This usually requires giving the outside of the cup a thorough scrubbing, BTW!) After the second use, it gets thrown out. I also don't bother saving it if there's just a little bit.

Same here. Sippy goes back in the fridge if there is enough worth saving. I have read somewhere that whenever anythiing has been ate out of or drank out of that it should be disposed, as bacteria can grow while being refrigerated. However, I have done this in the past with my older DD's now ages 4 and 8 and everything turned out fine. If not, a lot of milk and money would go down the drain!

I never re-used formula, or milk leftover in bottles, but now that we use milk in sippies and they don't drink much, it goes back in the refrigerator all day....i fill a sippy in the morning, and take it out for lunch and dinner. Then whatever is leftover gets put in a bottle combined with fresh milk for bedtime. I still give a bedtime bottle since they don't drink much of it during the day....and we've never had a problem doing it this way...keep in mind that the milk sippy's don't spend much time out of the fridge...they go right back in after the meal is done due to so much spillage from sippies...they only get water when they're out of their highchairs!!
