Ok so i am soo confused with the milk deal, do i mix the milk w/formula to start?
Has anyone just tried giving straight milk at first? no known allergies to milk at this time.
I completely forgot to ask at their sick appt on saturday, and they don't go back to the pedi until after their 1st b-day?
Just looking for some input, i have cut down the amount of formula i give to reduce # of bottles(they were still getting 5 bottles a day!! ;) I cut out the night bottle, and some middays so far, just to give you an insight into our bottle schedule.

I'm not there yet, but all my friends in my baby group who have babies over 1 switched to milk cold turkey.
Not sure if that is "correct" way, but that is what they did.

I'm switching cold turkey, the thought of half and half make my stomich turn. I don't know how that would be good. My girls are doing good with it, I'm getting about 14 oz in them a day plus all their food. HTH Good luck

You can do it either way, which ever way you feel comfortable with really. If you don't have any milk issues that you know of, I would go with the cold-turkey method. I have done it both ways with my kids, with the twins, we had reflux and milk sensitivities so I chose to go with the slower route. Good luck!

Yeah it also makes me a little quizy to think of mixing!! yuck. i think i may go cold turkey, or just start to introduce milk at dinner maybe.

Either way is fine. If you have a picky baby or are using a lactose/milk free product - Iwould do half and half. Our oldest we had to slowly transition to milk, or next child went straight to milk.

I don't understand why it makes some people queasy to mix formula and milk???

Oh well, I am not sure if what I am doing is right, but my pedi recommended it.....when my girls turned 10 months old I switched their 6oz bottles to 5oz formula/1oz milk for a week....then I will do 4oz formula/2oz milk for a week....then 3oz formula/3oz milk for a week....and so on....until they are drinking full milk bottles which will be close to their 1 year birthday.....they did not even blink an eye this week with the 1 oz. of milk in their bottles.....so far, so good.....
