We have just switched to milk within the last month and ds has little spit ups here and there but nothing major. And they both get really bad breath from it at times, especially ds. Ds also has had very mushy poops (sorry if tmi). Dh thinks that maybe they both or ds is allergic. I say they would be throwing up, having diarrhea or hives or something more drastic. What do you guys think? I am gonna mention it to the pedi soon but I figured I would post here too.

I would mention it to your Pedi but it does take some time to adjust for some. My sons were allergic to Milk and Soy and they were on hypoallergenic formula...I had no problem swithing them to regular milk but they did spit up/have musy poops for the first month or so when they started drinking all milk. I knew mine had a milk allergy because they had projectile throw up, diarrhea/bloody stool, crying, uncomfortable because of their stomach cramps of course they were only 1-2 months at the time but if you google milk allergy I'm sure it is the same all the way around. I would ask your Pedi though and tell him your concerns. GL!

One of my girls would spit up some after drinking milk and was drinking less and less of it as time went by. The pedi does not think this is an allergy and also insists that if it was an allergy she would also had problems with formula which she didn't. What she said though is that maybe it is just an immaturity of her gastrointestinal system that she will grow out of. We switched back to formula she started drinking more and being happier. We'll try milk again when she's nearer to 2 yo.

McKenna is lactose intolerant. Whenever she has anything with milk inside it she starts spitting up a lot and is miserable. She also gets really bad (almost acidy) poop and a lot of it. I don't know if it classifies as an allergy but I just give her soy and she is fine. If she has yogurt or cheese or ice cream it all gives her the same effect as milk. I bf her for a year and drank tons of milk/yogurt she was fine but had TERRIBLE reflux. With the soy her reflux is about gone..
