    Hi Ladies,

My little girls are 15 weeks, 10 weeks adjusted and i have some questions about milestones.

They are doing all the right things with neck control/holding themselves up well and kicking legs etc, but what i havn't noticed is them showing me much co-ordination with objects.

The reason i am particularly watchful is one of our little ones has a possible neurological issue associated with an eye defect, we wont know if the defect has affected her brain or not until she gets older, so we are watching like hawks!

SO my question is, when were your little ones grabbing objects? I see my girls lying under their play gyms and excitedly moving hands and legs when they see the objects but as far as actually accurately hitting the toys on purpose or even grabbing a hold of them and tugging them -- forget it!!

I would love to hear anybody's input here!

    Thanks!

My boys are almost 15 weeks and neither of them are very coordinated! Both reach for dangling toys, but William is more consistent with actually grabbing onto objects.

I just checked my notes and at week 17 they started to grab an object that was placed by their hand and at week 18 they were able to consistently hold toys and put them to their mouths. Mine were born at 38 weeks

I think my girls were about 2 1/2 to 3 months when they started swatting at toys over them. They started really grabbing things at 3-3 1/2 months.

Mine were just under 3 months when they started grabbing objects instead of just swatting at them.

We are not very coordinated by they attempt to grab at things. I think as long as they are attempting, that is the key. Besides my hair, they have not held onto anything!

The girls grab things accidently all the time but do not purposefully do it. The baby bible (What to Expect) says that by 5 months baby "should" be able to reach for an object.
