We're potty training here and I've noticed that when dd pees on the potty it comes up and out (almost like a little boys' would) (hits the seat and all). Now, I don't do that when I pee and I haven't noticed her sister doing that so I'm wondering if I should mention this to the ped? (of course all kinds of horrible things are flitting through my brain.....tilted urethra....etc)....anyone else have this happen? TIA!!!

This happens with Mia all the time. I'm not sure, but it's probably worth mentioning to the ped. I think my daughter's issue is ---- TMI ALERT!!! LOL--- she watches her brother hold his winky and thinks that she needs to hold something down there also. This makes it very difficult to train a girl and boy at the same time. Please keep us posted if you find out anything.

My oldest DD did this and it was due to the fact that she was holding her legs together to tight which caused it to come up and out it my just be the way she is sitting try a little different postion next time.

Emma does that too on occasion, I think sometimes her butt goes too far into the hole and it makes the pee go up if that makes any sense. :pardon:

Those little potty seats usually come with a cup to catch boy "streams", maybe you could attach one of those in the meantime?

DH calls Claire's her "bionic pee". She pees really hard, and if she doesn't "aim" it down, it'll go everywhere. It's like she sits on the potty like a recliner. I have to remind her to sit up straight & help her. Then it usually goes in the potty.

Yep...time to practice legs apart, scooting back more, and sitting up nice and tall. Gosh, if Hannah's aim is this bad, I can't wait to see what Ben's will be like. Sounds normal to me; she just needs a reminder on how to sit properly.
