Might be a bit off topic, but who's guilty of...

eating all the little food scraps from breakfast, lunches, dinners, snacks?!

Oh man, I'm so guilty. And it's only making my struggle to lose weight that much harder. I think if I just stopped doing it, I'd lose weight immediately.

So yesterday, I decided I'm not... doing it...ANYMORE!!! And I can't believe how hard it is. It was a completely unconscious habit I'd fallen into and until yesterday (not doing it), I think I was in denial about how many calories you can actaully consume just eating scraps and leftovers.

I'm so curious now...Any one else do this? Want to join me in my fight?! lol

Add me to the list of "clean up crew". I can't help it...they leave behind some good stuff [IMG]

    Me! Guilty! [IMG]

I hate letting food go to waste, it's my upbringing I guess. So what I do to counter it is make sure I don't load up too much on my own plate, and then I eat their leftovers. Our au pair does it too. Actually, it's good when she's around because she'll do it and I won't feel like I have to.

I was also doing this until we were continally passing a cold among us so I quit eating their scraps. But I was back to doing it again this week. i better quit -- not only for calorie's sake...

Funny! I used to be sooooo grossed out by mothers who did that. But just add that to the list of things I said I would NEVER do, that I do do!

I gained 26lbs by doing this.......I would love to lose some weight
and I think the 3 hour diet may work but I need a buddy to motivate me.

I totally do this. I don't worry that much about my weight, but I can't stand to let food go to waste. And somehow it seems like less of a waste if I eat it, even if I don't want it, than if I throw it out. [IMG]

I don't usually eat off their trays (I just eat the stuff that I never even served to them), but even so, it's dumb and I should quit.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only scavenger! [IMG]
I'm just gonna see what happens to my weight after a few months
    of not eating their leftovers.

    I'll re-post when I'm 20lbs lighter! [IMG]

Add me to the guilty list too. [IMG] I've been trying very hard to not do this anymore though.

Yes, and this would be why my jeans are fitting way more snug than ever before! The girls are eating lunch early now with 1 nap a day and I snack with them and then eat while they nap and then snack again. I'd like to blame it on PMS- but I only think that's good for a couple of days [IMG]

    Here are my tricks:

    1) make my lunch/sandwich/whatever FIRST so it's there and ready to eat so if I want to pick while I make theirs I can pick at my own meal

    2) I keep gum in my kitchen cabinet so if I'm not eating right then I'll chew gum

    3) When they're done eating, I immediately take their trays and toss all the scaps into the sink and rinse them down the drain.

I realized after eating from their food that I was never even hungry by the time my husband got home and I had dinner on the table. It was from picking at their food!

I wouldn't eat breakfast until after they ate because if they had enough left over I didn't have to make anything for myself since I ate their leftovers.

I blame it on my parents with their "Clean Plate Club" Since A&K are too young to understand the concept I'm just helping them out! [IMG]
