Everything was good with the US, placenta isn't in the way...we just need some better measurements and the babe to be in a better position. So I am booked for another US on Jan 7th - and I am going to London to have it done. ;)

And according to the tech's findings...

    dun dun dun dun....

    It's a BOY!!!

Wow...I mean, yes, I won't deny that I was hoping for a girl, even just to get to use the name Rowen...but I wasn't getting too attached to it, because I just KNEW in my heart it wasn't going to happen...I wasn't looking at girly things or anything...keeping a level head.

I have to laugh a bit because between March 2009 and May 2010 there will have been 5 women in our church who have been pregnant or who have had a baby in that time...including myself and 2 sisters. And you know what....ALL BOYS!! Not a single pink frilly dress to be seen...lol. I will have the 4th boy in a ROW in my family...breaking the 4/4 tie between the boys and girls grandchildren.

My son will be SO EXCITED...he has been firm on his belief that it's a boy...my daughter was wanting a girl, but when I told her that if it's a boy, she will one day have her own pretty girl room and she will always be my little princess...she said "Um...actually, I hope it's a boy!" LOL!

I am happy for my son....he has always been "the little brother" and his sister reminds him of that all the time. She is like a mommy to him and he lets her do everything for him. Now he can be the BIG BROTHER and look after his baby brother. And coming from a family of 4 girls and 1 boy....whom hasn't produced a son yet, and my dad passed away in Dec...I know there's alot of pressure on him to "carry on the name". There won't be pressure on just one member of the family now....there will be 2 boys to carry on our name.

My son was a big cuddler.... I am hoping this one will be the same. I love that about my ds, he likes to be snuggled. My dd is too wiggly and can't stay still.

If all goes as planned, this boy will be Kael Jason Avram

Congratulations!! I like the name you have picked out, but see now reason why Rowan couldn't work for a boy if you love it?

Awww...congrats! I think I'm the only person in about 3 counties having a girl. Everyone expecting mom I know here is also team blue. :)

AWwwww... congratulations!! You can send some of those boy genes down towards my family!!! I'm finally having the 2nd grandson in the family. There are now 6 girls and soon to be 2 boys on my side of the family. I'm really hoping both of my sisters will have boys in the next 18 months or so. My ds really wanted a baby brother too, ...and I totally second you on cuddly boys! I hope this one is as cuddly as my ds always was. (and still is!) I really wanted to have my last 'baby' be a cuddly boy. For some reason my ds has seemed like a baby for much longer than his twin sister. She just doesn't sit still to cuddle for long...neither does my 2 year old dd.

Thanks ladies...it is starting to grow on me....we went shopping in NY State and I was starting to see some very cute and handsome boys clothes...so maybe girls are not the only fun ones to shop for. I like little boys looking like little men :)

My husband came home from work on Wed and I told him that something was digging into my back and it felt like something was wrong with my bra strap, so I asked him to take a look. He said "ya, it looks like a price tag is still on here" then he pulled on the "price tag" and it was a piece of blue paper that said, "It's a boy!" . He said, "actually, it's a little piece of paper...that says 'It's a Boy!' on it.....are you serious? Is that what it is?! It's a boy!?!"
Hahaha....he was pretty impressed and very happy with the news...lol.

We have told our parents and a few of my siblings and my best friend..haven't told the kids yet, we want to let some other people know before the kids let the world know...lol.

I still love the name Rowen (or Rowan for a boy)...I just had my heart set on it for a girl and I wonder if it would just be a reminder to me of that...if I would have a hard time with his name being Rowan when I had done so much convincing of my husband that it was a perfect girls name! LOL.

Rowan Jason Avram would certainly work as well...I know.
I used to love the name Caedmon and if we had had twin boys that may have been the other boy's name. My husband still really likes that name and asks me all the time "Are you SURE you don't like Caedmon anymore?" It's not that I don't like it, I just feel I have grown fond of other names. I think that there was a time where everyone was using Celtic names and it sorta drove it into the ground. Kael is still Galic, but it's not a strong as other names (consonant rich).

Avram was a name I chose to honor my late father's side of the family. My Jewish great Grandfather's name was David Ben Avraham Schuster....and I found the name Avram which was a shortened version and I liked it. But I am not 100% sold on it....we will have time to let names grow on us for a while, now that we can actually plan!
