we are now set in stone on bella and bree :yahoo:

just finetuning with our middle names... :unknw:

i was thinking of using mil and mothers middle names...i have never been big on using family names as it is hard to please everyone, and how do you choose whose name to carry on without offending someone else :aggressive: , but i figured thuis time cos i was having my first girls, twins, i could use both mil and mothers middle names which are ann and ellen.

honest opinions please, cos it was just a thought , nothing i am particular on...

bella ann and bree ellen (last name starts with sw--)

other than this i'm not sure.... i have liked names like avery and austyn in the past for middle names, but not sure if they fit now with such short 1st names...

    any ideas.....thanks

Actuually I like Bella Avery and Bree Austyn. Think with short first name you need a longer middle name. Dont think the other middle names flow as well.

I suggest you go to babynamegenie.com. It will let you put in the first name and last name then will suggest middle names for the combination.

I actually like these two combinations. They flow pretty well, and I think your mil and mother will be so happy that you included them. I am not huge on family names either, but there are exceptions. My older DD has my middle name, but my DS has a name I picked out (his father and I separated before he was born otherwise he probably would have had his middle name). If one of the twins is a boy we may give him my husbands middle name, we haven't decided which name combination will be the winner, we have two girl names and two boy names picked out. Good luck.

Do either of your mothers have nice first names, maybe those are options? I like Ann and Ellen for MN especillay since they have special meaning for you both.
We used our mother's middle names for our girls MN. Belle after my mom and Emelda after his.
I love Bella and Bree BTW. Very cute and Bella Ann and Bree Ellen are doable, they're certainly not horrible.

Just for fun I tried out that babynamegenie site and put in my kids names . . . so I'd say don't have too much hope for it coming up with anything good.

It's top picks for my kids were Elliot Elijah and Clarissa Tatyana . . . talk about two big mouthfuls . . . (their actual names are Elliot John and Clarissa Rose, which I think sound an awful lot nicer)

I think using Ann and Ellen are just fine. They sound fine and the honor people you care about. My only concern is that Bree Ellen sounds like it could run into a single name . . . not that that's bad (in fact, you could think about Briellen as a first name - not quite sure what the proper spelling would be), and still call her Bree, and then come up with another middle name (sorry, now I'm just complicating things).

I love the idea of using the grandmother's middle names. You could even use their first names. Believe me, it will make them very happy and there's noone who would be mad about it. :)

We used family names for the middle names of all our children because we felt that the children's names should both be their own (as in their first names) but also mean something (as in their middle names). Our middle names are:

    Esperanza - my grandmother's name
    Jacqueline - My MIL's name
John-Paul - a combination of my mom's middle name, DH's name, and the late Pope
