babies between 25 weeks and 29 weeks? I just have a few uestions....I had a little scare yesterday, and I am not quite 25 weeks. I was at the hospital from 8 am til 5 pm - wondering if any of you delivered because of heart deceld....and cord entanglement...etc.

I delivered at 28 weeks 1 day because of PTL. It was very scarry. I went into the hospital on bedrest just before 25 weeks, and I am so thankful I was able to hold out the 3 1/2 weeks I did. It was a long road, and very scarry at times. But after about 10 weeks in the NICU both of my girls came home happy and healthy. They have now been home for just over a month and they are thriving. Many people are suprised when I tell them how early they were and how good they look.

I hope the remainder of your pregnancy remains complication free and you don't have to worry about having preemie's. Good Luck!

    :hug99: I'm sorry you had a scare.

When my babies were in the NICU, one of their "neighbors" was a 24 wk micropreemie, Fiona. Fiona was her mom's SECOND 24-weeker, if you can believe it - apparently that's just when the mom's body wants to go into labor, and there's no stopping it. But big sister (24-wker #1) was a healthy, thriving, normal toddler, and last I knew Fiona was doing fine. It is truly amazing what modern medicine can do for early babies.

Good luck! I hope everything goes ok. But you've made it to the age of viability, and every single day you can make it with those babies inside is a big achievement!

I just wanted to say I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Momo's are very special and take a special mommy to go through all this!!! I went into PTL at 20 wks and held off until 33 almost 34 wks. But I know your situation is very, very different and scary. HUGE HUGS!!!!!!

I delivered at 25 weeks. My water broke at 24 weeks and I delivered a week later. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to give you some help!
