Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that Michael Ian & Milena Grace were born on Saturday June 2nd @ 10:20am respectively via emergency c-section. Michael's water broke on Tuesday night, May 29th. We rushed to the hospital and was immediately admitted. I'll relate all the horrible details later, what happened before the emergency section. I can just say it was really a living nightmare! Anything to keep the twins in a bit longer..but by Saturday I had developed fluid on my lungs & was slowly getting worse..so dh & I decided to have a section then & there. The twins were born with excellent birth weights: Michael Ian : 5lb 6oz & 18" Milena Grace: 6lb & 19" They were 33 weeks!!! Right now I'm at home & the babies are in the level 2 nursery. They are doing very well. They are breathing on room air & feeding very well. We are praying that they will be with us soon... Good luck to all of you.. Denise
Wow! What big 33 weekers! Congratulations! I had noticed that I hadn't "seen" you since you posted that you were placed on bedrest. I'm sorry that it was all so crazy, but I'm glad that everyone is doing okay. I hope you have your babies home with you soon. Jen
Congratulations, Denise!!! I was wondering why you hadn't posted in awhile! Oh my goodness -- I'm sorry to hear the experience was terrible, but so glad to hear the babies are big and healthy! Those really are amazing weights for 33 weeks. I hope they're home with you very soon.... Hope your recovery is going well, and that you're getting some rest....and I would love to read the full birth story, even if it is scary. Do you have any pictures??

Congrats Denise on your new additions! Those are amazing weights for 33 weeks. I'm hoping for 6.5lb babies and I'll be over 38 weeks when I deliver. Hope the babies get stronger and are home with you soon!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Wow you give me hope. I always worry about the babies being born early and healthy since I have already gone into PTL a few weeks ago. I see I am only a week behind you and your babies sound like they are doing great. I hope you feel better soon and the babies can come home. Do you have any pic?

Congrats on your big 33-weekers. Mine measured lower 6lbs range at 34 weeks and they got bigger. You did a great job mommy! I hope they'll be coming home soon.

Excellent weights, Denise! I wonder what they would have been if you had made it to 40 weeks -- 10 lbs each? I am glad that they are both doing great and pray that they wil be home soon. Congratulations!
