I was just wondering how many people use the mesh breathable bumpers on their cribs?

Once the regular baby bumpers came off, did you use nothing, or use one of these?

I am debating on if I really need mine on anymore. Now that both of them can stand up and crawl, I really don't think I need them. They seem to get pushed down, along side the matress and not really doing what they are suppose to do.
    Just curious.

In my experience the mesh bumpers did the same thing....I wouldn't waste your money.

My two still have their bumpers in. Never used the mesh ones. I never took the bumpers out of my oldest DD's crib either.

Never have had any bumpers. Thought about getting the breathables because my DD kepts getting her legs or feet stuck through the railing, but I think she finally figured out how to get them back out, and not sure if the breathables would have prevented that anyways...

I bought the mesh but did not keep them on long since they always slid down. I put the regular ones back on and they have been on ever since.

We got the mesh bumpers when the girls were 1 week old because one DD had her face planted in the fabric bumper and it scared me to death (I couldn't believe a 5 day old baby could move that much). We have used them ever since and they have helped with legs getting stuck in the slats and comfort (one DD likes to sleep with her head against the slats) but they do slide down, we have to keep tightening them.

we took off the bumpers to put on mesh ones and after a short while, removed them, tossed them and put the regular bumpers back on. I found them to be a real pain in the butt. it made changing the bed MUCH easier but other than that they were a royal pain. they kept sliding down no matter how tight i put them, my dds were always leaning on them or pushing them down and then still getting body parts stuck between the slats. my girls absolutely love to this day, to cuddle up onto the bumpers. i guess it's comforting for them. IMO, they were a waste. good concept but did not work for us.

I agree with the pp I would not bother with them. We did purchase them because they both kept getting their legs/arms stuck in the slats but even with the breathable ones they can push em down and still get things stuck in the slats. Save the money.
