I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We did. Although after all the excitement last night then this morning and the afternoon at my inlaws with grandparents and aunts and cousins the twins are WAY overstimulated. My poor babies.. do they ever stop being preemies? by about midway through the 2nd Christmas (at my inlaws) poor Willa Grace acted like her nervous system was on hyperdrive. She wanted to be held but as soon as you picked her up she squirmed to get down like it was hurting her to be touched and Wyatt just wanted to hide in the corner or be held by mommy or daddy and didn't like anyone else touching them or talking to them. They didn't eat well at all all day, had a few bites tonight and drank all their milk so that was a relief. After a warm bubble bath and a baby massage with some bedtime lotion they seem to be calmer. They have always leaned twards overstimulation due to being preemies but it hasn't been this bad sense they were tiny. I think tomorrow while Bella(big sister) and daddy are at the movies we will just hang out with a couple of books, a few toys and our quiet time cd and just the lights of the christmas tree and try and calm those tiny systems down. Bless their hearts.

Other than that we had a great day. Elmo was the main atraction at our house. Between all the grownups they now own 4 differnt elmo's 2 abbys and a super grover (or vover as Willa Grace calls him)They LOVE thier elmos. What was the big hit in your house?

Sounds like you had a great day- even with the overstimulation!! our big hit was a play kitchen.. very into imaginative play these days!! And of course.. we LOVE our ELMO.. anything Elmo is a HUGE hit and we got a lot of Elmo for Christmas! Totally hear you on the overstimulation.. though I don't think it's just a premie thing! our girls aren't really premies (born at 36 wks) and they were WAY overstimulated and sounded very much like your two with all of the craziness of the holidays.. I think our was probably because of all of the travel and the missed sleep. Our holidays were a bit tough this year- my DH's grandma passed away 2 weeks prior to Christmas then we gave everyone the stomach flu (20 people and counting!!!) without knowing we had it! We came home and had the stomach flu and we are still recovering! BUT.. on the plus side we saw all of our family and had a quiet Christmas day.. which was wonderful!! here's to a fantastic new year!!!

Sounds like a great Christmas!! Christmas was so much fun this year! E&C really got into the presents, though once they would open one, they wanted to play with it right then. My guys got overwhelmed on Christmas Day, too, and they weren't preemies. They were extremely overwhelmed at my ILs and easily upset there, and then extremely wound up at our house that night. They both melted down at bedtime like I had never seen them meltdown before.

The biggest hits in our house were their cozy coupes and Thomas toys. They are obsessed with them!

Seems like everyone had a great Christmas!

We had a nice Christmas also, this Christmas was different than last, it was more fun with the kids. The best present we got them was a Step 2 Walk in Kitchen - they love it and they spend a lot of time in it already. They pretend to cook and to give us food. I hope they will use it a long time and it will help keep them out of my kitchen. They also got 2 power wheels Lil Quads ATV riding toys from my parents and they are funny learning how to drive and stear :). They also got 2 big teddy bears from my in laws and Vanessa thinks they are both hers :). It was funny the way they seemed to be just as happy about the bows we put on the presents :).

    Happy New Year everyone!
