    Hi
did anyone have a vaginal delivery and remember when you got your first period?
I delivered my twins on 4/2. I stopped bleeding like after two to three weeks.. and now I am noticing blood like a period.. I called my Gyne and the nurse said that this couldn't be my period this soon.. I shouldn't have ovulated already..
    just concerned and nervous..
Has this happened to anyone and when did you first get your period?
    thanks

My sister had a vaginal delivery of a singleton. She full time breastfed, and got her first period when my neice was 4 weeks old. It can happen.

I would say that it could definately be your period. I don't think I went a full month in between stopping bleeding from delivery and starting again.

I bled for about 3 weeks after delivery (vaginal) and then got my first PP Period about 2 weeks later. So yes its possible for it to be a period. Also I am pumping my breastmilk and have gotten a period every month right on time since delivery so I dont think that breasfeeding prevents getting a period for all women.

On another note me and my brother are 16 months apart. My mom was breastfeeding my brother when she got pregnant with me and never got a period. She didn't even know she was pregnant until like 5 months along when her cloths started getting tight. So no breastfeeding is not a form of birth control and does not prevent ovulation.
