1 week ago I stopped giving my babies breast milk and moved to a formula only diet.

Yesterday at church I felt somethign warm on my leg. Basically, since yesterday I have been bleeding excessively. I think it must be my period, but why is it so heavy?

I had a C-section with no complications and this bleeding is worse than that. I am filling a pad easily in an hour and when I use the toilet, the water is red and not pink like it iusually would be during my cycle.

Is this my period or could it be something else? I am kind of scared.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still nursing but my period returned a few months ago. The first one was supersuper heavy and crampy for me. Even now, I just got done with a period, but then two days later apparently my body decided, hey, why not mess with Kendra some more and start her period all over again, complete with hormonal meltdown (I broke the turn signal on the van!) and migraine headache?
I think the twin pregnancy just does a number on your hormones, and nursing twins, and then stopping, is probably wreaking havoc on your body. Either way, though, for some reassurance I would check with your doc. Better to be safe than sorry. :hug99:

It is normal. My first period after I had Emily was really bad...way worse than the bleeding from having her. My OB told me this past time to expect the worst period of my life. So it is to be expected. I dread it, and hate not knowing when it will show up.

Oh this so sucks......... I cannot imagine suffering through this EVERY month. The cramping has started and I can barely move. I am so not liking this.

My first period after postpartum bleeding finally stopped was awful. Heavy, heavy, crampy, and clotty. I think everything got back to normal (with the exception of still being heavier than before) after about 7-8 months.

Before I got pregnant, I had terrible periods with pain that would put me in bed for the first two days. My first post-partum period was pretty heavy, but I had way less pain. The second one was early but still quite heavy, but again - not very painful. This is my third period (it came at exactly 30 days) and it is heavy and I've felt pretty hormonal (I sat in my closet and cried last night!), but there is not much pain at all. I also had my tubes tied during my c-section.

Just wanted to give you hope that it might not be too bad after the first couple of months!
