has anyone used this formula. it is sold at sam's club and it is supposed to be the generic version of enfamil. my husband wants us to switch to this since the price is better then enfamil. let me know your thoughts.

Yes we used it for our son at around 9 months and he did great on it. The great thing was we got so much formula for the money! They have regular and for sensitive babies, but you just can't get soy and things like that, but if your child doesn't need that then you will be in luck.

We've used the Member's Mark Gentle, the Parent's Choice Gentle, and the Meijer brand Gentle - I believe all of them are made by the same laboratory. I've been happy with all of them. We started out supplementing breastfeeding with Neosure (SO expensive!) and when the pediatrician gave the ok to go off of the Neosure as supplement, we moved on to the generic brands to supplement - and they have all worked well. You can't beat the prices. And the government regulates the ingredients of infant formula, so all of them are basically created equal as far as nutrition/calories/etc.

I used the Costco/Kirkland generic brand and it was great! Formula is regulated by the FDA, so you don't have to worry that you are slacking on quality. The name brand formula's have to charge a lot more because they spend so much money on marketing, freebies etc... But really, I think Formula is Formula.

We used it all 13mo's they were on formula. I asked my ped. & she said its perfectly fine, and my girls seem ok, so I would recommend it.

Call your pedi and ask. Mine said there is no difference b/w the generics and the name brands except for price. GL!

i've been wondering about this, too. did anyone notice their babies reacting to the taste? meaning, did you get the feeling there was a flavor difference and if so, did they mind? also, do the store brands mix as well as similac? my whisking arm is tired as it is.

they don't mix as well as name brands; that was the only downside we found. It took lots of mixing or shaking.
