Let's welcome Dani as this week's Meet the Mama. It's time to put her in the spotlight and ask her those questions we've all been wondering about. Here is a little about her:

Dani mom to Lilly born 11/27/04 via c section and wife to JJ married 9/20/03. I am also the mom to our boxer Riley who is 5 and the biggest baby of them all. I have gone through 2 miscarriages in the second trimester. I also have PCOS and we went through almost 3 years of infertility struggles, 2 rounds of Clomid and I quit. Got pregnant with my twins the next cycle. The cycle that started the day after my 30th birthday!

    Hi Dani,

How does your older DD feel about having twin siblings?

What food have you been craving with this pregnancy?

Lilly is very excited about being a big sister. She got twin babies and a stroller for Christmas that she has named after her 2 favorite trains.... Emily and Percy! She is a great little momma! Have to chase her away from the cribs and carseats with her babies!!
The real test will be when she realizes they are comming out and they will be here all the time!

I have been craving hotwings and Pudding Pops. With my DD it was Watermelon.

The best is that we actually got pregnant afte 3 years of fighting infertility and PCOS!
The worse, reflux and hip pain!
Different? I really am feeling movement everywhere! I also gained 70 lbs with my single preg and so far with the twins only 30! And the cravings are different, more intense I think.
I am also on bedrest for my blood pressure this time, but was not before. I am still wearing my wedding ring where as with Lilly I was too swollen at 6 months to wear it.

Are your doctors supportive of you trying a VBAC?

I hope your babies can cook a little longer in there.

    when is your next appointment?

It took me 3 OB's to find one supportive of a VBAC in my area. My doc is good to go with my plan given we have a presenting vertex baby! Second baby is ok in any position as he is a great physician and one of the most skilled in the area with breeches. There was a tip I saw once that said if you want a doc to be supportive of a breech or VBAC make sure he/she has grey hair as these skills are no longer taught. So if the doc hasn't been in practice for 20 years or so they aren't going to have or been necessarily taught the skills.

The new motto for this pregnancy I think is "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" or maybe 200 flushes a day!

OB appointments are on Tues for NST and cervix checks and Peri appointments are on Thurs for sonos every week now. Hope to sneak a sono tomorrow because I think they have turned!

    Welcome to the Spotlight!

    So my questions:

How did you come up with your babies' names?
What are your hobbies (assuming you have time for anything,)

Hayden is a left over we liked when preg with Lilly so it made the cut, Natasha is actually a name Lilly had said when we were bouncing names back and forth. DH said Natalie, Lilly said, No Tasha... and then came Natasha.

I knit some, sew some mostly things like slings and purses. I love to scrapbook, "old school paper scrap" with lots of fun with techniques and embelishments. I'm a Close to My Heart junkie! I love cooking and baking. It's killing me to have all this time at home and not being able to do any baking or cooking. Cheating today to make banana bread!
