***Meet the Mama***

Let's welcome Christy as this week's Meet the Mama. It's time to put her in the spotlight and ask her those questions we've all been wondering about. Here is a little about her:

My name is Christy. I will be 28 at the end of February. I am a stay at home mom. I have a degree in computer support. I have been freelancing in digital photography. I have been married to hubby Nick for 6 years in May and have Eric who is 3 1/2 and fraternal twins Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Jack who are almost 22 months old. Both sets have been conceived naturally. I am adopted so it is unknown whether or not the reason for twins is genetic. I am thinking so!

 

Hi Christy!

Do you other children know they are going to have twin siblings (again)? If so, how did they react to the news?

What was yours and DH's reaction to another set of twins?

 

How have you been feeling this pregnancy?

Is this pregnancy much different from your last twin pregnancy?

The twins are too young to understand. I think my three year old thinks they always come in twos. I don't think he gets it really.

DH thinks he is the man. He is thrilled and doesn't understand why I am stressed about it. I think he forgot how miserable my last pregnancy was. He is making this easier, if he was stressed too, I think it would be harder.

Sort of similar. Very hungry, extremely tired, and sometimes feel sick but not too bad. I have a lot of mensral like cramps. Doctor says this is normal with subsequent pregnancies. I think it is just my uterus growing. I didn't notice this as much in my last pregnancy.

I love photography so I do have a lot of pictures. Not as many as I would like, seems kids only cooperate for strangers! I have a website where a few pictures are up. www.cmcdigitalphotography.com if you would like to look at them.

My favorite food is spaghetti, or any pasta really. I am not big of desserts but I would have to say chocolate chip cookies.

We named Eric after a good friend of ours and he is our son's Godfather.

I think it absolutely amazing that you are going to have two sets of twins! Wow!

Everything was goodwith the first set. We found out it was twins at 20 weeks. I had preterm labor at 30 weeks and was in the hospital for 3 days. I had gestational diabetes. I was on bedrest until I delivered at 35 weeks 6 days.
We know this set is also fraternal but that is it. We are going to get another untrasound on next tuesday to hear baby A's heartbeat. That baby was too far away last week to hear it.

I know! It is so crazy! I never imagined one set........two? Wow. I don't know when it will sink in. Funny becuase everyone always asked about my twin pregnancy and I said that I wouldn't wish a twin pregnancy on anyone. You can't tie your shoes, barely roll over at times, and it's har to walk, ect.... Now I get to do that all over again. Ahh!
