    Hi Mary,

    1. What food have you been craving with this pregnancy?

    2. Is there anything you have left to do before your babies arrive shortly?

    Have fun!

Hey Mary, any day now! ;)

So what names have you picked?

How did you decorate their room(s)?

Thanks, I think that this is going to be fun! Get your questions in early, as I'm hoping to be in labor by the end of the week!

    1. I've had a multitude of cravings, in the beginning, all I could eat was pizza, I literally would have it 7 days a week, I don't know how I lost 14 pounds in the first tri. Lately, It's been hamburgers and milkshakes, which is crazy b/c I'm not much of a meat eater, but I guess those babies need protein.

    2. We are pretty much done, we got the carseats installed today (with some help from all you TS gals) and took the rest of our returns to Babies R Us and bought the last minute things. I did tell my DH that if I go into labor he has to promise to have the dishes done and living room picked up before I'll go to the hospital, crazy I know!!

We have picked out Andrew David and Olivia Lynn for names, Drew and Livi for short. Both middle names are family names, David after my father, and Lynn after my MIL.

We did a stars/moons/outerspace themed nursery. It is decorated all in blues and yellows and turned out pretty well. Here is the link to my blog that has some pictures in it:

Thanks for the comments on the nursery, I had the theme picked way before we were even pg, so lots of time to plan!

We found out that it was twins at our 8 week u/s. We had an u/s at 6 1/2 weeks (we did ivf) and there was one strong bean with a heartbeat, and one empty sac. The doc said most likely the second bean implanted but did not survive. Wasn't he surprised when 2 weeks later there were 2 strong beans with heartbeats!

Really up until the last 2 weeks there hasn't been a worst part of pregnancy, I feel blessed to have had a pretty easy pregnancy, m/s wasn't bad and I worked until 33 weeks. I must say the aches and pains the last week or two have gotten me down a bit, but it's well worth it to have made it to full term! The hard part was actually getting pregnant, it took 3 years, with one devasting miscarriage along the way. After all that, I'm just happy to be here!

Thanks! All those diapers were a gift from my in-laws, my MIL started buying a pack a week when we told her that we were going to do ivf (talk about positive thinking), and had over 1,000 by the time my shower rolled around.

I am planning on staying home full time until January, then plan on returning to work part time. We have it arranged that MIL is going to watch them 2 afternoons a week so that I can work second shift. I'm an occupational therapist, so my hours can be very flexible. DH works 9-5 so MIL should only have to watch them for a few hours. That way we don't have to pay for daycare, but I can supplement our income a little bit. I am one of the lucky ones that has a great MIL, we have our issues from time to time, but really, no complaints.

I always had a feeling that I Baby A was a boy, but had no clue about Baby B. My intuition was right with him, and Baby B was a complete suprise. My dad always thought that he would have 4 grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls, I already have one nephew, and my sister is currently pg with a little girl (due in 3 weeks), so he was on the money with his guess.

Hi Mary! Welcome to the spotlight!

I see you're in OH; I'm right over the border in MI! Are you in S or N Ohio?

Love the nursery and the belly pics on your blog, BTW. I love that you used family names as middle names; we did that, too! It's so special.

What are your hobbies? DH's? What will you do together with your twins?

I grew up in Northern Ohio, about 10 minutes from the border (Maumee, if you know where that is), but moved to Cincinnati to go to college, met DH, and never moved back. All of his family is down here, so we definitely have some support, and my family is only about 3 hours away, so they will be able to help out too. I do like the weather better up North though, not so hot and actual snow instead of rain in the winter!!

Let's see, hobbies. I really like to play basketball, but haven't gotten the chance much since getting married, hopefully as the kids get older I can get back into that. Aside from that I love to read and do crossword puzzles, they are my newfound passion since being taken off work. Normally I don't have much time though as I used to work full time and go to school part time (I am 3 classes away from my masters degree). DH is a gamer geek, both computer and roleplaying games, he's hoping to get the twins involved in that when they are older. Right now I am just looking forward to having the babies and hopefully having a nice warm fall so we can get them out on walks and the like before winter comes.

Thanks for the compliments. I think the nursery was my favorite part of preparing for these guys, it was a little overwhelming at first, but so much fun in the end. I'm glad you don't think I'm crazy for wanting the dishes done before going to the hospital. I teased DH and told him that the reason I wasn't going into labor was b/c the lawn wasn't mowed, so he went out and mowed the lawn Saturday, so now I am free to have these babies!!

that exact same thing happened to me! since dh wasn't at that 2nd u/s i had to tell him over the phone. it was crazy. we had been disappointed after the 1st u/s b/c we had both secretly hoped for twins...

Hi Mary - welcome to the spotlight!

I don't think you are crazy at all for wanting the dishes done. It would drive me crazy in the hospital if I thought the house was a mess! My dh just laughs at me.

I saw in another post that you're 3 classes away from your Masters - what is it in?

Your nursery is awesome perfect theme for b/g twins. I too am having them but my nursery is to be a surprise for when I return home from the hospital it is a gift from my aunt who is a interior designer. I hope my nursery which is a jungle theme comes out as nice as yours.

I'm glad I'm not the only neat freak out there!!

I have a bachelor's in occupational therapy, and am currently working on my masters. Like education, occupational therapy has gone to entry level masters, I am not required to get it, but think it's a good idea as I have done some part time teaching and would like to continue, but need a masters degree to do it. I was hoping to be done before the babies came, but oh well, 3 classes isn't too bad.

Thanks for the compliment! A jungle nursery sounds awesome, I can't wait to see how it turns out. She's going to have to put it together pretty quick if she's going to do it while you are at the hospital!!

I have heard of that happening alot, doctors say it's pretty rare, but what do they know?? We were a bit disappointed after the first u/s as well, after all that we've been through, we were less than secretly hoping for twins!

    Hi Mary-

The nursery is adorable-you can tell you definitely put a lot of time and effort into it! I too love all the diapers-we have @ 1000 size 1 diapers sitting in our basement from my shower-it is crazy!

Are your babies both in position? Are you going for a vag delivery or a c-section? And what are you doing to stay comfortable right now?

That is alot of diapers, I'm sure they will all be put to good use!!!

Right now, Baby A is in position, and Baby B keeps flipping from tranverse to head down, we are going to go ahead with a vaginal delivery as long as things stay the same. Baby A is the bigger twin, so after he is born, the hope is that Baby B will flip into position, and if not they will try to turn her. I've been talking to her daily trying to make sure that she cooperates!! We have another bpp and growth u/s scheduled Wednesday, so we'll see if she is behaving and turned back head down!

Comfortable, what is that?? I actually can't complain, it's just the last 2 weeks that have been pretty rotten in the uncomfortable category. In bed I have an army of pillows, one under my head, behind my back, between my knees, and under my belly, that works pretty well, just takes a long time to arrange when I have to get up and pee 100 times. DH has been kicked to the couch unfortanutely. And I have been living in DH's pajama bottoms and my tank tops, they are the only things that fit and don't make me hot. It's getting really bad b/c the tops are not long enough to cover my belly, so I feel like I'm wearing a halter top most of the time, oh well, not much company has been over so I can't complain!!

Thanks!! The fan was actually a gift from a friend of ours, she got it at Lowe's (it's a store like Home Depot, not sure if it's a national chain or not). The cool part is when it's dark and you turn the light on, it casts stars all over the ceiling. It's enough light to be able to see, but not so bright as to wake up a sleeping baby (at least I think not, we'll have to test out that theory), so it's perfect for a middle of the night feeding or diaper change.
