My name is Irene and I have been married to my husband for 8 years. We have been together as a couple for 15 years. We have a 4 year old son and we are expecting twin boys in August. The babies are fraternal and the result of 3 years of trying for another baby. We currently live in Virginia and we are hoping to stay her for a while (we previously lived in Florida and Texas). Other than that, my life is pretty boring. My husband and I work and for fun we like to read, go exploring in the woods, and check out the sights in the city. [/SIZE]

Thanks for the welcome! You guys have been great for me during this pregnancy, I've learned so much and it has made me calmer.

3. Not being pregnant (sorry, I am getting to the large stage)
4. Spending another year with my husband and son


How did you guys react when you found out you were expecting twins? We were in shock. The HPT was positive very early so we suspected (they are IVF twins--so I couldn't resist POAS early) but we were still shocked, then elated because we've always wanted a large family.
Is your son excited to have little brothers?! My son is very excited. I don't think he knows what he is in for but he has plans to help with the babies and he really can't wait to teach them everything he knows.

What food have you been craving with this pregnancy?


What food have you not wanted to/been able to eat with this pregnancy?

 

What part of VA do you live in? I live in Northern VA, Loudoun County


What food have you been craving with this pregnancy? No real cravings but if someone mentions food, I need to eat it. I was big on protein the first trimester (lots of burgers) but that has calmed down.


What food have you not wanted to/been able to eat with this pregnancy? Chicken with bones in it makes my morning sickness show up.

What has surprised you most about this pregnancy?

What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? I think how tired I have been. I am very independent and it has been hard to hand over chores/responsibilities to others.

Do you have names picked out? Yes but we are the people who won't share until the babies are born. I know it is annoying but it saves us some headache. And, I want to see them before confirming the names.

 

Do you have alot of family around you?

Do you plan on going back to work after the kids?

Will you breastfeed?

Do you have alot of family around you? OMG, I wish we did. My family is NJ, my husband's family in FL. We have a close network of friends and they have offered to help out. I just need to figure out what kind of help I need.

Do you plan on going back to work after the kids? That is my plan. I really like my job and the people I work with so I am hoping to go back. I am hoping to stagger it so I start back PT then go full time.

Will you breastfeed? I hope so, I am going to try my hardest but the kids have to eat so if it doesn't work out, formula it is. I nursed my first son for 2 years so I have a good track record but I know not everything works out as planned every time.
