i'm posting this in reply to the person who wrote on the acid reflux, but this is such a great thing that i wanted to share it with everyone...it's a paci that has a chamber for liquid medicine and a hole through the binky part so the babies suck it right down instead of losing half of it the way mine always did when i gave meds through a syringe.

    you can buy it here:

i got two and they have paid for themselves over and over in the amount of UNwasted meds. I am sure that some brilliant mommy invented this. Worth EVERY penny!

I had one of those and it worked really well. I didn't use it very often though since I'm blessed with 4 good medicine-takers.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! The doc just put Sophie on Zantac for reflux and I swear the ENTIRE dose dribbles down her cheek.

I did not know about those pacis. We learned a similiar trick in the NICU. We put the medicine in a nipple and give them the nipple. They "think" that they are getting a bottle, when OOPS! it is medicine. This worked GREAT when they were little. My guys now know the trick. We just use a medicine dropper and put it in slowly.

Both of mine hate the Zantac. We have tried droppers, and medicine binkies, a nipple from a bottle and finally mixing it in the formula. Mixing it is the only thing that has worked and it really does work. I mix the Zantac with 2oz. and then they finish it. I burp them and then let them have the other 4 or 5 oz. It workes like a charm and I know they are getting all that they need. :)
