My boys aren't big meat eaters. They pretty much only eat chicken nuggets and maybe hot dogs. Is this just a phase? They use to eat everything when we first started table foods.

I can't speak from personal experience, only second hand. I have a niece, who is now 7, who just started to eat meats in the past two years. I mean, NOTHING before that, no nuggets, no hot dogs, nothing. I spent about 2-3 days a week at their house for the first several years of her life, so I witnessed her diet first hand. She would have yogurt, cheese, macaroni, veggies, fruits, quesadillas, etc. but never any meats. My brother and sil kept trying and eventually she started to try different things and now likes chicken, pork, cheeseburgers...etc.

Lindsay, my 2 are going through a phase right now also, where everything that used to be YUMMY is now the most horrible thing on the planet! I think it's just a phase. Maybe you could try dipping it in something? They might enjoy a new flavor!

I think they all go through phases like that. Emilie will eat whatever you put in front of her. Trevor, on the other hand, is a bit pickier. One day he will gobble up grilled cheese or something like that and then 3 days later he will spit it out like he's saying I don't like this stuff. So I just keep trying.

lots of kids aren't into meat when they are little and then one day turn into big carnivores. my DD went through a phase where the only meat she would eat was chicken, the nugget kind. just keep offering it to them, I think it is supposed to be like 10x before kids decide if they like a food or not, and tastes change.
    good luck

David wasn't a big meat eater when he was little, he was practically a vegetarian until he was 6. I kept offering it, but would never push it on him. One day your guys may surprise you (like mine did) and just start eating meat. If you're worried about protein you can feed them dairy, nuts (when they get old enough), tofu and beans.

my boys are 13, 10 and 8 YEARS old and we are still in that phase!! but we have added pepperoni (only on pizza) to the list!
if it is not chicken nuggets, or pizza they turn their noses up at it!!

My girls aren't into meat either. I give them baked tofu instead so I know they're getting protein.
