I have not introduced meat and I dont think I plan to (unless I hear that I should be). Something about meat in a jar...

We do solids twice a day (after their morning bottle and then 2 hours before their night bottle).

At each feeding they have 3 tbs of oatmeal each and they split a jar or a jar and a half of stage 2. THey have fruit in the morn and veg at night.

I was going to try 3 times a day but then they dont drink all 4 of their bottles so I am waiting a little longer.

We do 3 meals per day. The meats I give are pieces of bologna, tofu pieces, pieces of rotisserie chicken because its soft. They don't get meat everyday. If we're eating something with meat for dinner and its something they can have they get it, otherwise they don't. Example, I cooked scallops last night and they only had veggies and cous cous. For snacks, I give them the gerber puffs and rice puff cereals. I also give them crumbled cheese every once in a while for snacks. Our day looks like this:
    7:15bottle 7oz
    8am oatmeal, fruit
    nap
    11am bottle, 7oz
    12:30 lunch
    nap
    3:00 bottle, 6oz
    snack
    6:00 bottle, 6oz
    6:20 dinner
    Bed

My 8 mo old is way behind her brothers in what she would eat but since I have started pushing meat and she is finally eating it my nights are significantly better. I knew I had to get the protein in her but she was very sensitive to texture and seems to be getting better. I make most of my own food and can control what is in it. I am hoping to get her eating pieces of stuff within the next month or so.

I do not give them meat everyday, and I will not give them the jar meat. [IMG]Nor do I think that they would eat it. I am going to start introducing more meat very soon, since they are able to chew their food now. [IMG]

Mine LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Earths Best meat varieties. It is mixed w/other stuff and they really like it. I also give them sliced meat from the deli and they like that too. But it is about 2-3 times per week.

that jar meat is nasty! [IMG] I tried giving it to my 2yo when he was little and he would not eat it. He wouldn't eat those nasty gerber ravioli's either! LOl - and neither will these babies.

They really really like the chicken dinosaur nuggets. They are pretty soft and tasty. Maybe not the best in nutrition...but whatever. But they do eat lots of cheese and yogurt etc so I know they are getting good protien.

btw - we eat 3 meals on most days
