I measured at least six to eight weeks bigger than my pregnancy week with my twins and a few weeks bigger with my singletons. It is a good sign that the little ones are growing. Enjoy! :D

Your totally normal -- at my 26 week apt. I was measuring 37 weeks!

  5. No problem. At 31 weeks I'm measuring 42 weeks! Yep, and I'm less than 5 feet tall. You should see me I'm quite the spectactle!

SOunds normal to me. At 18 weeks I was measuring 27! Most people ask me if I am "about ready to go any day now?" I just smile and say nope....it's twins! Then watch their mouths drop. So much fun! :)

Yep, you will measure bigger with twins. I was always measuring at least 6 weeks bigger than I did with my singleton.

If it's any comfort my ob office at the time didn't even bother measuring with twins... they didn't measure me at all. They considered twin measurements to be pretty much irrelevant to the assessment of the health of the pg or the mother. Information about the growth of the babies was taken entirely from u/s b/c belly measurements are not adequate means of measuring baby size in twin pg.

reading everyone else's posts they were 6 weeks bigger and here i am only 3, i guess that is a good thing???? heck i don't know. but yeah I'm not going to worry about it because it pretty much is inaccurate with twins, lol.

Everyone is different. My OB office told me that they wouldn't measure me.... then I got measured twice. I was 30 & 31 weeks measuring 36 weeks both times. I haven't been measured since then. Don't worry about it at all... as long as the babies are growing on ultrasound & you are doing fine, there is nothing to worry about.

This may be a stupid question but how do you measure fundal height? As in where to you measure from? MY ob never measures (b/c it really doesn't mean anything in a twin pregnancy) but I'm just curious?

    TIA

At my last appointment (at 17 weeks), I measured 22 weeks.

In my first pregnancy with my singleton, I measured 4 weeks ahead consistently, then was induced at 38 weeks because at 37 weeks I was measuring 44.

Fundal height is measured from the top of your pubic bone to the top of your uterus.

So glad not to be alone on this one! I'm 29 weeks and measuring at 39!!. I've gotten so many " Are you due any day now?" and then when I say "no, not until sept" the poor people almost fall over!! It's great!
