Hi ladies! It's so good to be back. It'll take me a while to get through two weeks of posts but hope everyone is doing well. :) My question is this. Last OB appointment, three weeks ago I measured two weeks ahead. 23 weeks at 21. Today I measured 3 weeks ahead. 27 weeks at 24. I'm not worried about measuring ahead, just that it is increasing. Any experience?

Hmm... are you sure its just a singleton pregnancy? ;)

At my 30 week u/s I was measuring 2 weeks ahead...

I am measuring ahead too. At 22 weeks I measured 24. I was measuring larger at my appointment last night too but he didn't tell me by how much. I'm sure that everything is fine.

I would say as long as you know there is only one, then it should be ok. I've heard that sometimes during a second pregnancy (especially after being so stretched out by twins) that a lot of ladies measure ahead. I ONLY measured 4 weeks ahead with the twins...it will be interesting to see what happens this time.

I didn't even ask at my last appt how much I was measuring!! I go in for my 27 week check next week, so I'm going to ask... I am curious. During my singleton pg I usually measured either right on or behind... I was pretty small. With the twin pg they didn't even bother measuring me. I know there is a lady over on the large family board who was measuring like 3-4 weeks ahead. She was going to a midwife, but finally got an u/s b/c she was convinced it was twins... turns out it was just one very big baby.

We have had an u/s that showed one baby so that really wasn't a concern. I was more worried about any other things that would cause my measurements to keep increasing without staying proportional. I've measured ahead will my pregnancies and except with the twins the increase stayed the same from measurement to measurement. Thanks for the input!

Could just be a big baby. My baby was measuring almost 2wks ahead at my 19wk Level II u/s. I haven't had any u/s since then so no idea what he's measuring now. Dh's family has BIG babies though - generally over 9lbs.

At my 16 week appointment, I don't even remember if my Dr. measured me. I am going for my next appointment in a few weeks so I will have to see. I would guess I am measuring ahead, because I am way bigger than a friend who is 3 weeks ahead of me. I would guess, as my Dr. put it "your body is a pro now at pregnancy" (that's what he told me about other issues).
