Ok ladies I have a problem....

There is this nurse that works for my obgyn. she is very moody and you never know what kind of mood she will be in. I left her my disability paperwork to fill out last monday and she has 10 days to get it in-paid a $5.00 fee for it to be filled out. as of today, my company still doesn't have it. I called the office yesterday and left her a message reminding her that it has to be done but haven't heard a word from the office. I hate to harass her but my disability check depends on them getting this paper work sent in. it is so frustrating to me!!! i guess if if i haven't heard from her by wednesday or thursday i'm going to have to call back up there since Friday is the deadline for it to be turned in. I love my dr., but dealing with people like this lady makes me wish i went to someone else.

    so frustrating!!!

I would talk to your doctor, and say it in a nice way, that you 'haven't been able to get ahold of X nurse' but it is imperative the paperwork gets filled out in time, you are not sure that X nurse knows that, could she check on that for you?

mean or not you have every right to have that paperwork filled out in a timely fashion - your paycheck depends on it! Most of the times when I had ppwork to fill out the secretaries filled it out while I was being examined and I got it back by the end of the appointment (if I happened to get the first or last appt of the day - otherwise I usually only had to wait 24 hours)...

I wouldn't wait until Thursday since its due by Friday - I'd call first thing tomorrow and tell her you will pick it up on Thursday - and if its not ready then at that point I'd make sure to let the doc know you are very unhappy with the staff...

I agree. I would go in there ask for it to be done while I am waiting. Or leave another message that if you don't have it by tomorrow, you are coming in there, that is needs to be in by Friday.

Next time you see your Dr. I would definitely mention this.

I agree with the PPs. If you have to go up there, do it. i would also speak to your doctor the next time you are in there.

Talk to your doctor. She (or he) is running a business and if her staff is inconveniencing you, she'll want to know so she can prevent the problem from happening again. She can also give her mean nurse a reminder to get your paperwork moving. I agree with everyone else - call now, don't wait until the last day.

Thanks ladies for the advice. If I haven't heard from them by noon tomorrow i'm calling again. and if its not in by friday, i'm going to go up there and sit there until it's done. its a shame that you have to do things such as this. i think i will talk to my dr about her. someone needs too....i know others have to feel the same way that i do!! thanks ladies!
