I know you have heard it all but this is a new one for me;) I had the steroid shots for the girls Thurs and Fri-and Sat my belly just popped out! its huge! I woke up and couldnt breath or inhale without pain from being bigger! Is that normal? i feel the girls moving a TON i can feel each body part poking me; i know they are head down now so thats great! but how can i get more air into my lungs? im on bedrest and thats uncomfortable as it is with my RLS--they jump around constantly and i cant get comfy--Part of the last few weeks process?

I didnt have steroid shots, but by 34 or 35 weeks breathing was so hard. Thankfully I had lots of music training and worked really hard at making sure I was breathing fully. It was hard.

I was amazed how much better I felt after my c-section compared to the last few weeks of pregnancy.

    Keep it up!

Maybe they changed positions? That last few weeks is just rough! Hang in there! :hug99:

I got steriod shots at 31 weeks and didn't experience that but I did feel like I got bigger all of a sudden around 32 and than again a couple days ago at 36 weeks. It is pretty darn uncomfy now but we're almost done!

The steroid shots can also cause you to retain a lot of fluid.

The last couple of weeks were rough on breathing!! Even a week or so after delivery it was hard to breath.. it was like my lungs had to re-expand themselves

I had steroid shots, but didn't notice my belly getting bigger. Could be that they changed positions.

YES! I retained a LOT of fluid after my steroids. I was also being given bags of fluid on top of that. I had some serious cankles.

I didn't get bigger after my steroid shots so it's probably something else. Is there any chance that the girls are identical? If so, you might want to get checked by u/s to make sure one isn't having a large increase in her amniotic fluid. That can cause problems for them. Hang in there!
