After the gym this morning we went to the mall to hear a lady play the guitar and sing children's songs . . . sounds like a great idea right?!?! Well, my kids were not that interested in the music; however, they were very interested in running around. I had a coverup to return to Dillard's so I thought I would let the kids get out their energy and run in that direction. I left my diaper bag with my friends and off we went with 15 minutes to go until the end of the program. Neither one of the kids were willing to wear their doggy harnesses. DD wanted to carry hers and DS wanted to be carried. Of course, Dillard's was the furtherest store I could possibly have to walk to in the mall. The walk was dreadful. DS is too heavy to carry and DD was taking her sweet time. We FINALLY, after a 15 min. walk, arrived at Dillard's and I put DS down because I was tired and sweating. He started pitching a fit to picked back up. I picked him up very harshly. (THIS IS NOT MY NORMAL BEHAVIOR!) I was honestly at my wits end. The program had probably ended and I had left my diaper bag with my friends. I knew some of them had to leave to pick up older children from preschool so I felt even more pressure to hurry. Anyway I went to the closest service counter I could fine which was Women's Lingerie. The lady said she could not help me because I had to return the coverup to the swimsuit dept which was upstairs . . . UGH! I found the elevator which my daughter does not like and I had to basically drag her in. We went upstairs and I again found the closest service desk. The lady was kind and helped me quickly. However . . . she handed me a cash voucher for my coverup. She told me I had to take the cash voucher to customer service to get my $22 in cash that I paid. You have got to be kidding me!!! I said, "You can't just give me the cash? She said, "No we don't carry money around the store." What?!?! She pointed me in the direction of customer service which was through the china dept. I asked, "Do you really want me to take 2 two year olds through the china dept?" She said, "I'll help you." I of course carried my son and my DD lagged behind. I did hurry know that my DD was in sight and this lady was walking with her. I got to customer service and the lady was on the phone for a minute or two which felt like 10 minutes. Then she started typing in the numbers on my voucher and couldn't get them to work. She was chuckling saying that she forgot her glasses at home . . . not funny at all. I of course said, "I will never shop here again." I probably had smoke coming out of my ears, nose, everywhere. I finally got my money and it was now ten after 11 . . . the program ended at 11. I had to make the walk back. I decided to cut through the parking lot because it would be quicker. So I picked up DD and DS and started carrying them across the parking lot. They were sliding down my body and DS started say, "Heavy Mommy." I always say that when he gets too heavy for me to carry. DD starts saying it too as they are both barely around my legs and are barely held by my arms. We finally make it back in the mall. I return to my friends who were in no big hurry and I just started crying. I was dripping sweat and exhausted. Looking back . . . the return was not that important . . . I will never put myself nor my children through such chaos again. And I truly don't know if I will shop at Dillard's because I think the whole return process of paying cash for an item is ridiculous.

Are you still reading this? If so, thanks for allowing me to vent. I am so exhausted! I'm too tired to proof this so I'm sorry for any mistakes.
