Hi Ladies! I've been hearing alot about twinstuff and finally decided to head on over to check things out.

    A little background.

My name is Vanessa and I am 28, I have been married almost 6 years, but we have been together for 12 years. We have a 13 year old son, a daughter who is almost 7 together and we are 16 weeks pregnant with twins. We live in Tempe Arizona.

About 18 months ago after lots of thought my husband and I decided to try for another baby. Month after Month was constant negitive pregnancy tests. I kind of gave up at that point and figured it wouldnt happen and if it did happen... then it happens. A short time later I was pregnant. However, we lost the pregnancy early on. My LP was too short. I started progesterone and a hand full of cycles later, still nothing. So we went a round of Clomid. One round of Clomid was all it really took. That month I got O Pains on both the left and right. I had this strong feeling that I was going to let two eggs go. On my Chart I say two clear Implantation Dips and 9DPO I got my BFP. I was so excited. I went in and we went over my chart and I showed him that I thought I O'd two times and that I have been having twin dreams, but it was a bit early to even see anything on ultrasound so we did a blood draw (HCG)and then another two days later and my numbers went up 4X. We did an ultrasound in his office at 6 weeks, which happened to be my husbands Birthday and sure enough it was two babies and two heartbeats. We have been back several times and everything is looking good.

We had the NT Scan done and they told us that they think we are having a boy and a girl. I'm very excited. I feel a bit overwhelmed from time to time, but I guess thats probably normal. I'm going to breast feed and cloth diaper both babies. Its my first time cloth diapering and I am even going to make my own cloth diapers. It should give me something to do with any spare time I have from now until birth.

I will be going back to the doctor for my 16 week appointment tomorrow.

And thats how I got here!

I look forward to meeting everyone and learning the in's and out's of everything that twins will be bringing to our lives. I have tons of questions for everyone here!

Thank you! I am sure that I am going to learn alot. I have to admit that I am coming into this pretty blindly and not knowing much about twins. I think being able to read alot will help me better understand everything that will happen. I think right now my biggest concern of all is premature birth and low birth weights.

:wavey: and welcome to Twinstuff! Congratulations on your twins!  I think what you are feeling, about being scared of low birth weights and premature births, is something every twin mom thinks about, so it's normal. Try not to stress to much about it though. Drink lots of water, think positive and, of course, come onto TS! I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. We look forward to getting to know you.

    Congratulations and welcome to TS!

We're waiting on our 4th cloth-diapered child and I definitely applaud you for giving it a try. It's so much better for the baby and your wallet and really isn't difficult at all. :)

Hi Vanessa! I think it's neat that you found out you were having twins on your DH's Bday. I had my IUI the day after my DH's Bday, and I told him, this time it has to take, because it's your birthday. And sure enough it did! I am also planing to to CD. I am a stay at home mom, so I have the extra time to CD, but not the money to buy all those paper diapers!
