I like this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2864117 because of the upper strap (which is optional for wearing). Just tuck the extra velcro on the underside of the belt or it will itch. It gives really good back and belly support. I was about 20 weeks along when I bought it but had wanted it for a few weeks by then.

I got the one from Motherhood Maternity for like 18 dollars or so. It isn't bad. More of a belt.

It gets the job done in my opinion. I can't stand the feeling of things touching my stomach so I only wear it if I know I'm going to be up and around a lot (I have a desk job and can't imagine sitting all day with it on so I don't wear it normally). I wear it when I'm doing things around the house or out shopping and it does take a lot of pressure off my back. Honestly though it feels SO good when I take it off. LOL I'm just really sensitive in the tummy area though I think. ;) For the price it really does help though. Good luck!

If you are already starting to feel uncomfortable, then you NEED to get a better support belt than those offered at BRU or Motherhood ect... The best one I found and I tried lots was the Prenatal Cradle... It is quite an aparatus, but I had a really painful pelvic seperation as well as all the back issues related to such a big twin belly! They are pricey, but they are totally worth it... Sometimes you can find them on eBay new and they are less than they are on the website... I can't remember the address, but if you search prenatal cradle or search it on eBay they may have a link in the listing. For what it's worth I started getting a pelvic seperation at 16 weeks and spent a lot of time trying different supports w/ no luck until this one!

This is exactly what I used and I wore it daily. I loved it and it took so much pressure off of my back. I could not go without wearing it. I, however, did not get extremely large, so like the prior pp said, if you are getting extremely large you may want to look for a more heavy duty support.

The Prenatal Cradle IS quite a contraption! Our OB said it looks like it should be something out of an S&M catalog (which I imagine it does, although I've never looked in such a catalog! ). She wrote an Rx for a maternity support garment and the insurance company will probably reimburse me for the whole thing, they just want copies of chart notes saying why the OB recommended it.

It did help me quite a bit- I've also had vulvar varicosities, which are MISERABLE and the only part of this pregnancy that has been bad.

    Good luck!

I recommend them. I can't remember what brand I had. I wore mine almost daily. I worked 40 hours a week up until 2 weeks before I delivered. I got pretty big. When I would get home from work, that was always the first thing to come off. RELEASE!!!! But if I didn't wear it too work, it was awful.

I got one the belts that was on clearance from motherhood maternity in July. I pulled it out on Friday and have been wearing it all weekend. It is awesome. I have a feeling that I am not going to take it off until the babies are born.

thanks all. I did not get the Prenatal cradle but a couple of the others that wrap around the back and under the belly. i got the Mom-EZ Maternity Back Support Belt today in the mail. I got the Especially for Mom Maternity Support from BRU which i wore to work today and of all the luck the office was hot today... so i had to part with it at about mid-day. other than that it felt okay a little bulky. so far i have had some limagent stretching pain, but i guess since i am carrying them both completely out front my stomach muscles are not supporting my back like normal... hence the back pain already... ugh!
