I was wondering about maternity clothes. I have been able to wear some stretchy jeans and pants up until now, and just some larger t-shirts. Now I am getting to the point that I am going to have to buy some maternity clothes. I didn't want to buy too many as this is my last pg, and I want to spend my money on the twins, not clothes for me.

Well, my question is: Am I going to be able to buy maternity clothes that are correctly sized or should I go up a size, since I am having twins? In other words, I am a 2X... will I need a 3X or will a 2X be okay?

Anyone with experience in this department... I would greatly appreciate the help! Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking it varies for everyone. I was able to stick with normal sizes with my twin pregnancy, but with this singleton pregnancy those clothes seem to fit different. I was larger when I got pregnant with this one though.

I am normally a 2x in pants and a 3x in tops. I am almost 26 weeks pregnent and find that 4x tops and 3x pants are fitting me better than anything else right now. JC PEnney and Motherhood have the best selection for the price that I have been able to find. Also check Ebay. The quality of clothes there are 99% of the time wonderful.

I stayed in the same size clothes for both my pregnancies. I was able to wear an XL throughout which was basically the same as my regular size.

Thanks. This is going to help when I go shopping. I hope to get to the city pretty soon so I can start hitting all the mommy stores. (Gotta go to St. Louis) Thanks again!

Don't buy too much in the one size, just what you can get by with. I had to go today to get XL clothes because I have outgrown the L size.

Well I am also a 2x. I purchased some 3x stuff because my 2x jeans were tight - but the 3x stuff is all too big. That is with motherhood maternity. I got Lane Bryant stuff a size bigger than I wear and they fit nicely with room to grow.

I am a bit confused on it too. I've decided to just go in the stores and try stuff on. I HATE it - but I HAVE to :(

I think it depends on you! I'm ALL belly and so I am still in size medium pants in maternity. I am now buying size large tops in mat. but ONLY so it will fit my belly! Everywhere else (boobs) it is too big.

I'm having trouble finding things that are long enough. I'm carrying these 2 straight out, so looking for round and long! Pants are a joke since I'm only 5'2, that means if I get the 2xl for the right size to go on the belly they are way long and the crotch is way long... The saga continues.

I started off in small maturity pants and medium tops. I'm now in medium bottoms and large tops and I still have a ways to go.

You're probably going to start growing more quickly now since the babies are putting on pounds. I think a lot of people end up going up at least one size in pregnancy clothes with twins. I went up 2 sizes in pants and 3 sizes in tops. The last size jump was between 30-32 weeks so I only bought a few of those items.

I hate finding things to wear this pregnancy. I find that all the tops are too short, and the low-rise pants, ugh! I swear, everytime I am squating or doing something I feel like my butt-crack is showing! I live in sweats and yoga pants b/c they are the most comfortable.
