When did you bust out the maternity clothes this time around? I am not quite 6wks and nothing is fitting. Even my fat jeans are getting tight. Am I the only one????

Let me be the first to ask...b/c you know it's going to come up...lol....ARE YOU SURE IT'S NOT TWINS AGAIN!?!?!?!?!

LOL...you never know! Anyway, I started wearing my maternity pants to work about 8 weeks (I didn't have any bigger size work pants to wear, so I went to maternity). I'm now 13-14 and wearing mostly maternity clothes. I could get away with a few regular tops, but my bra size went up 2 cup sizes so NONE of my shirts fit mostly b/c of my boobs. Maternity clothes are MUCH more comfy!!!!

I'll second this! I wore a pair of maternity shorts a few weeks ago to a company function, but I wanted to be comfy and not in my normal sweat type shorts.
Good luck! I hope I"m not the only 'twins again' person!! LOL

I just feel like there is no way I should be this big already. I don't have an u/s until Oct 1

The waiting for the first ultrasound after twins is the WORST! At least it's only 2 weeks away!

Yeah, my second one is 6 days away (ok, 5 days, 21 hours away) and well, it can't come soon enough! :hug99: Get as much rest as you can & take it easy!! Don't worry about fitting into maternity stuff already.

I had such a bloat with this pregnancy. I was wearing pants between 8-10 weeks (or at least my pants that I had that were 2-3 sizes too big). I didn't bust out the shirts until later, though.

i was in maternity clothes early too although i could still fit into my regular "fat" clothes that i wore after I had the boys. I attributed my fitting into them sooner to the "twin skin" that i had never gotten rid of being that they erent even a year old before we got pg again. Once i filled up the "twin skin" that was there, i stopped "growing" so much an dit wasnt until recently that i actually started looking really pg and wearing maternity clothes. Good luck....it could be two again!

I had to dig out my maternity pants this morning, and it sure has me wondering just how many there are. I wish I could have twins again, but that chances of that are pretty darn slim.

If I am having twins again, your chances are at least the same as me!!! Don't count it out!! :)

I am scared to have twins again. I would of course love them but I really want the experience of a singleton. Sorry.

yeah...I had that experience once...I was pg with my twins!! LOL!!.... No seriously, I'm sure it could be normal for some women to expand more quickly on their second pg. That's what I told myself on my second pg... I really did convince myself....but it really was twins much to my surprise. This time around I think I might have noticed the snugness maybe around 8-10 weeks..but I wasn't in maternity clothes until maybe 18 or 19 weeks...and even then they were pretty loose on me. Try not to worry too much. Even if it turns out to be twins you'll be just fine. It'll still seem a lot easier than your twins seemed the first time around b/c you have experience now! My twins probably felt a lot easier to me than what FTM with twins felt, just b/c I already went through the trauma of being a FTM. You had a double whammy with having to experience twins and being a FTM at the same time. No matter what you get this time around it will seem easier than it seemed the first time....unless of course you have triplets!! LOL!

Yeah me too!! Sorry to 'scare' you. It's probably just one. What would the odds be, right? Patience!

I was panicked until I had an U/S at 7 weeks to confirm a singleton. My OB reassured me that it's normal to start showing MUCH earlier than the first pregnancy because my muscles that held everything in for the first four months of my twin pregnancy have since been very stretched - and can only go back to normal so far. She warned me back at my 6-week post-op checkup that no amount of exercise or situps would ever bring my abs back to where they were pre-twins. I accepted that, and she was so right. While I appear slim and tone from the outside, and can wear most of my old clothes... without clothes on, you can certainly tell that I didn't go back to normal.

Anyway, I started popping out with this pregnancy before I even hit 7 weeks. Yikes! I was able to disguise it until this past week, which is fine, because we're feeling pretty good about sharing our news now. But when I had the twins inside, they were up so high that I was able to wear my regular pants up until about 30 weeks. This pregnancy, however, is quite different already. I may have to invest in maternity pants already!

My twins were REALLY high too. I wore a size L regular pajama shorts my ENTIRE pregnancy and was measuring full-term when I delivered. I have a feeling things will also be different this time around. I swear the twins were afraid to go near my belly button or below. I had the weirdest looking stomach1

With my twins, I had a U/S at 11 weeks and my OB assured me I was having a singleton. DH and I have decided that this time around, we aren't believing anything until the U/S to determine the sex.

I'm definately starting to show a little.....my clothes aren't fitting right .....I had my ultrasound and its just one baby for us. My doctor did tell me that women who have twins will be showing quickly on their next baby.
