I am just over 12 weeks and only have 2 pair of pants that still fit. I've only gained 1-2 pounds so it's mostly that my pants are too tight in the waist, not from weight gain. I bought a few maternity tops on sale but have only worn one of them so far because it really doesn't look maternity. I also covered it with a cardigan. I still haven't told my work about my pregnancy so that's one reason I'm prolonging the switch to maternity clothes, but not sure how much longer I can hold out. When did you start wearing maternity clothes?

I started wearing them around 12 weeks, keep in mind it was also my 2nd pregnancy.

I started wearing maternity clothes at 19-20 weeks. I know I wore regular jeans to find out their sexes and that was at 18 weeks. I lost 8 lbs during my 1st trimester because of insane morning sickness though. And since all my jeans were low rise, they fit pretty well under my little belly

My 1st maybe mid 2nd trimester?
2nd I swear within days of testing positive. It was crazy!
This time with twins has been totally different for me. I just kept moving up in clothes size 2-4-6-8-10 and then started wearing mat clothes at around 22+wks.

This is my second pregnancy (first with twins) and I started wearing longer tops at 15 weeks when I could get my work slacks zipped but not buttoned.

Two weeks later I started wearing a "belly band". It's a fabric tube that covers my belly and over the top of my (now totally open) pants. It works great! They sell them premade under a few different names (Here's just one on Amazon) but I've been using a few stretch camisoles from my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. I don't put my arms through the straps and wear it over my belly and hem covers where my pants don't meet and down to about mid-thigh. From the outside it just looks like you have an extra-long undershirt.

Here's directions online to make them out of old t-shirts.

By 8/9 weeks I needed pants extenders and a Belle Band. By 12 I bought some maternity jeans and have lived in them sense. I am just now outgrowing the upper range of the extending strips at 23 weeks. Time for leggings and dresses!

Very early! With my singleton (my first pregnancy) it was around week 12.

With the twins, it was VERY shortly after the stick turned positive. I think I might have been bloated from infertility treatments, but I popped out immediately.

It was my first pregnancy and I started wearing maternity clothes around 12 weeks. I hadn't gained hardly any weight either, maybe a couple of pounds, but my body had just changed by that point enough that my jeans were too tight and uncomfotable in the waist.

Started wearing full on maternity clothes around 18-20 weeks but the band on the pants was a little loose at that point. I second the bella (or belle or belly) band to wear with regular pants. It's kind of annoying because sometimes it shifts but better than wearing the full panel pants right away. Dresses work as well in the early stages but if it's cold you might want to stick with pants.

Well, I broke down and bought some maternity pants today. I'm so glad I did because the casual pants and jeans are way more comfy than the regular jeans I've been wearing. I found some I really liked at Old Navy. I do have one of the Bella Bands and it is great but not something I'll want to wear all the time. I think it's because I'm kind of short and works best if I double it but then it needs to be adjusted a lot throughout the day. I'm going to try and get through one more week of work and then tell my boss sometime during week 14. Then I'll feel more comfortable transitioning into maternity clothes for work.
