So normally im like a size 10/11 and some 12/13(depends on the store) and 5'9.... and i dont like things like super duper tight... well ok, im 19 weeks and already pretty big, so i just bought alot of maternity clothes a size bigger so a XL and they dont fall off me, but are pretty loose, actually kinda baggy.... i bought a pair of jeans a few weeks ago and they where so baggy but now 4 weeks later they fit pretty good, so im thinking the same thing will happen, right? Any advice....??? After seeing some of the girls on here at like later weeks, im sure i will get the use out of my clothes no matter what :D

yeah you will. i am size 10/12 and medium non pregnant. I am in XL-1XL shirts now and large pants. I keep getting bigger. I had a huge growth spurt at 24 weeks and 26 weeks.

There is no such thing as too big with twins! I am down to 3 tops that are big enough/long enough to cover my ginormous belly, and those same shirts were way too big at 20 weeks.

I was already growing after 2-2 1/2 to 3 weeks having an awful reaction to the IVF (ovarian hyperstimulation) I looked 6 months preg and had put on 13 lbs in 10 days. UGGH, fortunatley it came off b/c it was all fluid but I had to wear clothes. I was afraid to buy clothes to have to re-buy stuff towards the end of my preg in fear that I would be the size of a house having twins and all; I found the 'Bella Band' that was so awesome! I bought pants that were 2 sizes too big and just used the band until I grew into the clothes which I did... I gained 33 pounds and delivered at 33 weeks and actually preferred the band during the daytime, as it was sort of snug and felt good to wear (It also hid the huge belly button hole I was sporting) You can wear your pre-preg clothes and just leave the pants unbuttoned and it makes it (the opened button/zipper) flat so no-one could tell my pants weren't really closed up...I liked wearing it after as well as it held me in until the c-section firmed up a bit.

I don't think you can buy maternity clothes too big! I am a size 8 normally, and the medium/large stuff I bought around 12 weeks was falling off me for a little while, but by the end the only things I could wear were size XL! :D I wasted some money in the opposite way -- by buying things that weren't big enough, that I could only wear for like a month. Also, I bought a few things for fall/winter (I was due in November) that I intended to wear to work, but wound up on bedrest from September on, and lived in men's XL (non-maternity) sweatpants.

I've only bought one pair of pants so far, and I have one pair of non-maternity pants that fit. I'm running out of t-shirts to wear and I only have 3 maternity shirts. I'm waiting to buy until I have to cuz I don't want to end up spending a ton of money on clothes if I never I leave the house because of bedrest.

I wore my normal size, just in maternity, the whole time. I did buy one pair of pants in an bigger size, but they were just too baggy in the hips and I exchanged them for my normal size.

My daugther started out at 5'1 and 125 pounds and while only gaining about 38 pounds she still ended up in XL maternity clothes. For the last few weeks she only had a couple of tops that would even cover her bulging belly!
