Baby A is carrying pretty low and my hips are getting achy. I can stand for about an hour before they really start to ache so I was wondering if maternity belts help. I want to make sure they are semi comfortable as well. I'd like to get one ordered now so I can really get my money out of it.

Have you used them and do they help?

yeah, me too! I was just thinking about this...my problem is the round ligament pain, so if anyone know a good belt for that let us know! :wavey:

I tried one with my first child, and it really didn't do much for me.

i got one at BRU, by Loving Comfort i think. i wore it when i knew i'd be out and about more and needed the support. it did help a little. (FWIW, i got the postpartum belt by the same brand for after they were born and wore that quite a bit, too)

personally, those silly looking ones with the over-the-shoulder suspender things that i have seen online, i think those probably help a little more, cuz it seems like they "lift" more :pardon:

Personally, I cannot live without mine. It took a while to get used too, but now I cannot go a day without it. I notice that when I do not wear it, I tend to lean forward like an old maid. I can stand all the way up and continue with good posture. Also, my hips do not move as much as without the belt. Even my chiropractor told me that he sees that my hips are staying where he puts them.

Here are my benefits that I have noticed in me:
    Posture
Pain in my hips/lower back is gone
It keeps my belly up, so I do not have sagging pain from the top of my belly.

Hope you find one you like, there are many choices out there.

It is a Mimi Maternity brand. It looks like an elastic belt with velcro on it.

I know that you can find it on-line.

Couldn't have made it without one. I carried my girls very low the entire pregnancy and if I didn't wear one, my back was totally wrecked at the end of the day. It was a lifesaver!

I used the Prenatal Cradle at my doctor's recommendation, but I didn't really notice much difference.

loved mine!! Got it around 22 weeks off Amazon paid $20 it was worth every penny I worked on my feet still at that point in a surgery center but soon moved to the front desk at my job but I did not like it if I was sitting it pushed them into my ribs. But I could not have done the things I did at the end like go to the grocery or even do my Baby registry at target with out it!!!! I want to pass it on one day!! lol
