I've been having a lot of lower back pain and at my appointment this morning my Peri suggested a maternity belt to help with support. I sit at a desk the entire day so I want something that is comfortable to sit in as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one to get?

I went to Motherhood and got the one they carry. . .I think it helps a lot with the strain on my back, but the babies get mad after a while (being compressed) and I feel like I am contracting, so I try not to wear it for more than a couple hours at a time. . .but it definitely helps!! It is like a big wide belt that goes around your waist and gets put under your belly with velcro. . .it is nothing too fancy and there are others that are a LOT more supportive but it only costs $15.00, so it was well worth it! Don't forget to buy a size bigger than you should due to having twins. . .

Thanks for the info :) Does it squeeze a lot on the belly? I cannot bear anything on my belly right now and anything squeezy on the bottom just hurts. My belly is almost numb and hurts from being stretched (I guess) right now so the thought of squeezing it....ouch! Maybe I could try it on and decide? :)

I bought the Prenatal Cradle, its online, just search on google. It offered more support than the ones at Motherhood and I needed a lot. It helped a TON. And actually helped with contraction I was having too.

I purchased a prenatal cradle. My dr gave me a prescription for it. It helped a lot. I am looking to get rid of mine. If you are interested pm me and we can make arrangements.

It is adjustable so you can pick how tight you want it. . . I just like it a little tighter because it feels better on my back (had back probs before pregnancy) and it is not uncomfortable, but after wearing it for a few hours it is nice to take a little break from it if I am sitting. . . But I will tell you when I first tried it on at Motherhood it felt soooo good to me that I just left it on and gave the lady the package to purchase it! She thought it was a little funny but I explained to her that I was having TWINS! LOL

I wanted to get the one that offers better support but my health insurance doesn't cover it, so even though the one I have is not the greatest, it is definitely worth the $15.00!!! Good Luck and I hope you get some relief!
