Mary Elizabethis here...

    I have to make this brief but I wanted to let you know that the little princess is here!

    I was sent to be induced on Tuesday. We arrived at the hospital at 6am, the pitocin was hung about an hour later and epidural came about 11 am. I labored all day but not much progress was going on. By the evening I was 8 cm dilated....by 11 I was fully dilated. I pushed for an hour but nothing was happening. Then the doctor said she was in distress so off tothe OR we went.

    She was born by ceasarian at 1:28 am on Oct 8th.

    She was 8 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long...that is why I had a hard time carrying her and delivering her.

    I will post pictures as soon as I can.

    You have all been so great....THANK YOU so much!!!

    Welcome Mary Elizabeth! Beautiful name and great stats! Bummer to hear you had to have a c/s after all of that labor, but I'm glad all is well! Can't wait to see pics...congrats!

    Sounds like a healthy baby!! I'm sorry you weren't able to birth her vaginally. I hope you have a speedy recovery and enjoy every minute with your new bundle of joy.

    You could consider joining ICAN. http://www.ican-online.org/ I found a lot of comfort with the women in that organization. Of course, this is only if you feel the need.
