So, I know I have a long time to go, but since I found out I am having twins, I haven't been able to get one thought out of my head... Is there a good stroller that is not massive and unmaneuverable that can fit infant twins and a toddler?
It's crazy, all I see are these massive triple tandem strollers and for some reason I need some sort of confirmation that I will be able to take all three of my children out for a walk without having to take someone else with another stroller with me. Any thoughts?

Hmmm I don't know. I finally gave up and decided I would get the Baby Trend Snap n Go double stroller that will hold infant car seats. I wonder if you could attach one of those tag along boards that toddlers can stand on behind it? Another thought is just a double stroller with one baby in a front pack?

I bought the Valco runabout trimode twin with the toddler seat. It's a jogger style, side by side double and you can put your toddler in the toddler seat.

    Christine,

Since I joined this site a couple of months ago, there have been several of us wondering the same thing. Unfortunately, that magic stroller we all seem to be looking for doesn't exist! I considered getting the valco too, but the toddler seat is in front and will kind of cover at least one of the twins. (If I am not mistaken.) I just didn't want it for the money. I also considered getting one my toddler could sit or stand on in the back, but she isn't even two yet, and really needs to be restrained. So, for now I got the double snap n go for when the twins are in their infant seats. I figure that I probably won't leave the house much by myself in the early days anyway. There is a sale sponsored by the Mother's of Twin's club in my area on March 15th, and I am going to check it out for a used triple. I hate to get one, but I think I will need it for the first year. Good luck, Lisa

If the Valco isn't your style you may want to consider just getting a double stroller and carrying one of the babies in a carrier like and Ergo. Once your toddler gets old enough to walk responsibly you'll just need a double stroller anyway. Good luck in your search!

The Joovy Big Caboose can accommodate 3 and isn't as large as a standard triple.

I looked at the pictures of the Joovy Big Caboose, but it was hard to tell if the child could actually sit in the back. Does anyone have one? I have a 3 year old, a 2 year old, and am expecting twins. I will definitely need something along these lines.

I've tried the regular Joovy Caboose and my DD was able to sit on the back just fine.

The Valco looks great. How do you like yours? Does the toddler seat fold down pretty well so that its not in the way when loading/unloading? Can your toddler ride in the regular seats if you just have the toddler and one twin with you? It looks like the most compact way to travel with three kids.

I would highly recommend a Valco with the toddler seat. I got the Mountain Buggy Urban Double (similar stroller, I liked the looks better) with a Lascal Kiddy Board since my oldest was already 2 1/2 yo when the twins were born and hardly riding a stroller anyway. The board is easy to get on and off. Most children here in Europe that are 21 m + apart will stand on a board and do not use a double stroller.

When I had the SNG ... my oldest walked, and when I use the MacLaren for the car and travelling, she walks as well. Occassionally, I take the Playtex Hipcarrier to carry the lightest twin, but we only did that when Sofie was sick, not feeling well, longer distances when travelling, etc.

Getting the valco. w/toddler seat. With the stand up what if the toddler gets tired and wants to sit? It's my only option as my toddlers will be 11 months when this one is here. If my toddler was older maybe I'd consider one of the stand on back. I've looked and looked and this comes highly recommended. When you are done using it you can sell it and recoup a good bit of what you paid for it.

We use the Baby Jogger city Series Double... when this baby comes along we are buying the jump seat! I can't be bothered with a triple!

The valco twin run about has a toddler seat option and I have not been told that they have a standing board that hooks on to the back...........so if needed you could transport 4 kids.

Look on their web site for the items.

I highly recommend the valco...........my 5 year old rides up front and the twins ride in the seats of the stroller..........but the 5 year old also fits in the seats if he wants to.

There is plenty of room in the stroller for all of the kids to ride comfortably.

As far as the toddler seat goes, it does fold up, or you can just take it off for the folding process (it is not that hard to do).

Some of the strollers seem very expensive. Has anyone tried the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller? It seems to have good ratings and it is not too expensive. I am thinking about going for this one. I figure one of the twins can ride in there and my daughter. The other twin can go in the snuggali.
