Ryan JUST started saying dadda at 7.5 months and I keep telling him to say mama but it hasn't happened yet. Jack hasn't said any words yet.

Jake said dadadada on Father's Day! Ryan said it a few days later. They were a little over 9 months when they said it. Yesterday Ryan started making the Ba sound. I'm still working on mamama, but after how often I hear dadada, I think I can wait. It will never stop after that!

I'm still waiting for mine to actually say mama to me. They are 8 months old on 7/6. However, they started saying mama just before 3 months when they were crying really hard. It was cute. We had a sitter come over who was amazed they were saying that. Now, if they could just say it while smiling or babbling  .

Emily said Mama this week, I am so excited I finally have a child that said Mama first instead of Dada. Zachary really does not seem to interested in talking, he just likes to laugh. They are a little over 6 months.

Eric will say "MaMa', but only when he is crying, and has since he was 4 months. I know he's not really saying mama, because it is just how he cries, and really, it's "mawww mawww". But I still think it's cute.

Both of mine said "da da" first - though though they didn't "mean" it until VERY recentlysince DH is called both "daddy" and 'pops" around our house. Tom said da da on my DH's b-day (how sweet) -- so he was EXACTLY 8 months old. Jack said it about a week later. Now they both say a bunch -- "bye bye" "hi" "kit kit" (for out cat) "ma ma" "ba ba" (for their bottle) and "numm numm" for food (i'm alwayd saying mummm....nummy when they eat solids).
