making baby food?

    Sorry ladies, I know this topic has been posted many times but I need help making my own baby food. I know there was a site that helped with recipes and preparation. Does anyone know it? Thanks.

    There's also a really good book call Super Baby Food by Ruth Yaron. I have it checked out from the library and it's really informative.

    How do you keep certain foods from getting brown (i.e. bananas, avocado etc)?

    According to the Super Baby Food book you can use orange juice but only if they are old enough (I think it's 12 months) and if you have tried citrus and they aren't allergic. The brown doesn't really hurt anything btw, it just makes it look yucky but it's not.

    FYI I found that when I make avocado if I get it in the freezer really quickly after I mash it and if I use the micro to thaw it (as opposed to putting it in the fridge to thaw) there is almost no brown. Can't help with bananas tho, mine turn brown no matter how fast I move LOL!
