So I ordered 3 inch thick mattresses for the pack n plays for our upcoming trip however they are taking forever to arrive and I'm starting to get nervous.
Maybe it's a bad company. Do you know of a better one? Or did you do (use) something else to make the pack n play more comfortable for the lo's to sleep in ?

I just put a rib sheet over it, and it helped them sleep better. Of course, it took a couple nights since they were out of their element.

We also put the PNP sheets on the bottom and then covered that with a soft blanket. Ours slept pretty well in the PNP's when we were on vacation. Good luck!

I had a pack n play fitted sheet that was quilted and made of a soft velour-type material. It was pretty plush and worked great. However, I only had one so the other kid got a blanket folded evenly to cover the bottom of the PNP (to provide some padding), with a fitted PNP sheet on top. Both seemed to work just fine.

As Rachel said, being out of their element was the hardest part to combat.

I usually put down a waterproof mattress down, a blanket, and then the pnp sheet.

As I write this we are on day 7 of our vacation and the twins are sleeping through the night perfectly every night. They have a sheet, stuffy, and favorite blankets. They snuggle with the blankets. If anything a 3" mattress may raise them up too much that they can climb out more easily. My 2 are close to being able to climb out and they don't walk yet.. 3" they would be over the top no problem. Save your money a crib mattress is just as hard as the PNP.

For short trips (like naptime or just one night) we just use a quilted PNP sheet. For longer trips we have a probably 1" mattress that we use with the quilted sheets. Be careful getting tall mattresses especially if your children are prone to climbing - it just makes them that much taller.

Truthfully though our kids sleep just as well on the normal pack and play bottom with a sheet as they do with the mattresses.

Our boys sleep just fine in the pnp with just a sheet and their favorite blankets!
