Major separation anxiety!

Any suggestions on how to handle separation anxiety? DS cries as soon as I put him down. Some of it has to do with teething, but its getting really bad!

 

I have no advice, I have never found a way to combat it, it is just a phase though!

 

I have no advice really, it's a phase like Becky said. Some kids have it and others don't. I just make sure my Cling-ons know where I am when they are fussy like that, or I hide so they can't see me. Sounds horrible, but out of sight, out of mind.

 

I'm going through it in a major way - it's rough, and I really have no idea how to make it easier - but like Jenny and Becky said - it's a phase and hopefully it will go by quickly

 

Man, DD has had a rough couple of days with this, too. I think she's also teething. Once she gets started with crying, nothing makes her happy- unless I am holding AND entertaining her. I also try to "hide" when she is playing quietly.

I hope this phase is brief.

 

We're going through it too. My DS has gotten his first tooth and DD has gotten her first 2 in the last week. I'm hoping it's just a phase as I am by myself most of the time.

 

We're going through it too right now and I agree it is hard. I get mentally exhausted by it. I guess I just try to distract them as much as possible if I need to put them down. Their sippy cups work awesome for this. Then, they find a toy or something around them and away they go again. Until.......... I come in the picture again.
