Ok, I've had enough blood to last me a life time! Michael and Mikayla keep getting injured!! Michael more so than Mikayla. During the last 3 days this is what happened:

    1. The older kids left a control up on a high shelf for their game system with the cord dangling down. Michael pulls down the cord and BAM, major dent in his head (in the crown portion)...almost needing stitches, and blood EVERYWHERE!

    2. Michael stands on the chair in the dining room, slips off of the chair, I try to catch him because he is RIGHT next to me, I miss him but DH grabs the plate that is about to topple down on him. He ends up biting his lower lip. MAJOR BLOOD and then goes to stand up WHACKING his head on the bottom of the dining table. GOOSE EGG there!

    3. We are invited to a birthday party Saturday for an 8 yr. old All of the 2nd grade children are playing with plastic swords. Michael thinks he is a big kid and gets in the middle of a sword fight. A sword came down on top of his head, he bites his lip. VOILA more blood!

    4. Mikayla jumped off her plastic picnic table and YES AGAIN, ANOTHER BLOODY LIP!

OMG!! Anybody else have all of these major accidents or are my twins just too rambunctious?

    Bridget

Yikes! It sounds like you just had a run of bad luck. Also, I'm sure my kids would get hurt so much more often if there were older kids in the house, or if we spent much time with older kids at all!

My twins are not that adventurous, but they keep hurting themselves by running too fast and then wiping out, or by banging their heads because they don't look where they're going. Duh!

My twins are only 16 months and they already have had several bloody lips and bleeding tongues and even a few head cuts. My oldest though was very accident prone, had several injuries that required the doctor to glue them etc etc. Some kids are more accident prone than others. :hug99: I doubt you are a terrible mom! Some times it just seems like nothing is going right when you have a run of bad luck.

I think it goes in spurts. We will have several boody accidents followed by a bit of calm. I hope this is your stormy season....that is a lot to deal with!!!!

Bea smacked her head twice today, in the same place! I think it goes it spurts too. Don't feel bad, sometimes I think their little bodies just go faster than they can keep up with.

Sounds normal. You'll see more. I swear somedays kids are born to scare parents.
