Magnesium Headache

Does anyone have any tricks for getting rid of the lingering headache that comes with Magnesium. I just got home this afternoon from l and D and the headache isn't going away.

Try staying in a dark room. Cool washcloths help too. Hope it goes away fast for you!

 

When they put you on Mag, the docs REALLY restrict your fluids. This dehydration could be part of the cause of your headache. So drink tons and tons of fluid. Maybe this will help!

 

I was on it for a month. It's awful! Make sure to drink lots of water (if you're off it now) and I think smoothies and popsicles made me feel alot better too!

 

Thank-you all very much for the suggestions. I used a cold cloth in the hospital for my burning eyes, that helped. But the headache is still lingering. It's getting better a little at a time. A dark room definitely helps! Last night I only had a little bit of stars from the lights. Fluids are helping with my digestion, but it's been hard to get back onto normal food. My stomach is still upset.
I can't imagine being on this longer than a day or two, but a month!!! God bless you! I'll try your suggestion of popsicles.
I really hope I don't have to go back for more Mag. But I guess whatever keeps the babies cooking longer.
