Magneatoes and Wedgits

I like both of these toys and want to get them for the boys for Christmas.

Magneatos... many different kinds. I did not know if I should get the regular, jumbo, builder or intermediate set.


Same goes for the wedgits. There are different sets. From the reviews, it seems I should get the deluxe set.


Do any of you have either of these toys?

 

I've never heard of either of these before. They look cool. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else has them and what they think.

 

I bought the deluxe set of Wedgits for my boys (almost 3.5) for Chrismtas. They love to build so hopefully will love them!

We have two sets of the original wedgits. Originally we got just one, and about 1 year later, got the second set. We also have the base (green) and a set of building cards. The kids love it, and so do the adults. I often give the set with the large white piece to younger kids, since it is compatible with the original set.

I am not a fan of the Magnetic sets, because the magnets can end up in places that they should not and cause problems. Thsi may not be an issue now, but it was a few years ago when kids would swallow the magnets.

Definitely get a deluxe on the wedgits! I like the Magneatos, don't have them. But more is a good thing on the wedgits!

 

We have the translucent deluxe set. We have to keep them put up when we aren't using them because of the baby but we all like to play with them. This is a great gift for toddlers and preschoolers on up.
