OK OK… Seth has been playing this game at nap time, I put him down and if I stand next to his crib for flippen 30 min he will go to sleep all happy… well this is a habit that had to stop, so I decided to do the 5 min co… I do this at night… if they start to cry at any random time in the night… beep hit the stop watch and don’t go in for 5 min… most of the time they go back to sleep w/ in 3-4 min… well it has been working for a few days EXCEPT he will scream the whole 5 min and I go in tell him I love him and put the binky back in and leave the room and poof… he’s asleep… well today he started w/ the scream… and it was off… and loud… so I decided to go in early and there in the hall was my MALE dog staring at the door with this worried look on his face… sure enough poor Seth’s leg was caught…
    poor boy...

Oh no!! It's so hard to figure out their cries sometimes.

The 5 min. method is something I used to do also...unless I heard shrieking.

I don't think your dog is better than you! Hey, you went in right? At their age you can let them cry for a few minutes. (Maybe you can have the dog stand there and watch Seth fall asleep! :D )

    LOVE THAT! LOLOL :p
I do the 5 min. method as well and would have done the same thing as you in this situation...
I think it's great you've got another "mother's instinct" helping you guys out over there :)

Don't feel bad! You just have a very caring and helpful dog. Our cats have definitely alerted us to problems with our babies before!
