Maddox and Mason are here! 10/22/07 with Pics.

Well I went into labor on Monday. I was in labor less than 4 hours. I progressed so fast. Luckily, I got the hopsital quickly where they decided to do a csection as A was breech and I was too far into labor. The c section wasn't too bad, I have to say. I'm only 4 days into recovery though.
The boys are beautiful. They were born in the exact same minute 9:25pm. The doctor said he had never had twins come out together in the same minute. They both came out screaming with 2 very different screams. Maddox weighed 4lbs 15oz and Mason weighed 5lbs 8oz. They had apgars of 9/10.
After 10 minutes, they took both boys to a special care nursery just for observation. They are there as feeders and growers. They just have to learn the suck, swallow, breathe thing. They just fall asleep- they are so tired but they are so sweet. I leave the hospital tomorrow and I'm incredibly sad.
Breastfeeding is going well. I'm producing a great amount of colostrum for them. I'm trying to pump every 2 hours but I have a ton of questions- I'll be at the breastfeeding forum.
I guess I'll see you guys on the first year forum! Thanks for all the support and love I got through the expecting board! Goodluck to all you who are still pregnant. I pray you have long and term pregnancies!

PS. My boys are so obviously fraternal. They look very different and I'm thankful for that! I was so scared I wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

Congratulations on your new arrivals. As for the above I was scared about that as well but I don't have to worry about that anymore as mine are boy and girl. I was really concerned that if I had identicals I would lose the plot.

I have been worried about telling my boys apart too--so I bought a set of mittens and hats with stripes and one with stars, and figured if we need to, we can use them to tell them apart!!!!

My boys were both born at 1:00, but I was told they were going to put 1:01 down for Evan on his birth record to make things easier.
