I am trying to choose which stroller to buy for our twins. I am a big fan of Bugaboo which I use with my son. I also have Maclaren Quest as a light weight travel option. All the twin strollers are pretty bulky, and I was thinking about buying Maclaren Twin Techno right away, since my babies will be early summer babies, I thought I can get away with that. Maclaren says that this stroller could be used from birth. Any advice would be great!! Thanks in advance.

I did not have that stroller, and you are right most of the doubles are big and bulky, but, one thing to think about is having to transfer 2 sleeping babies from their car seats to the stroller every time. I would recommend the double snap-n-go for the first few months.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I am going to buy snap and go for car seats, I've used my Bugaboo chasis as alternative with my son. I will deffinetly use Snap and go when I drive, but I do walk to the near buy park with my son, so I will not always be driving, and I don't like keeping babies in carseats for too long. I am just thinking, if Maclaren is a good option instead of the bigger stroller. I am not a jogger, and usually just go to a playground...

I have the twin techno and used it once my girls got out of the NICU. The seats don't recline all the way but enough so that head support isn't an issue. I really like it for being light weight and not too wide. It just doesn't have a lot of storage space or extra features such as a cup holder.

Have you looked into the City Mini?

I am seriously considering selling my techno and going for the city mini, it seems like it handles bumps and stuff better than the maclaren and is in the same price range.

  6. I have the Maclaren Twin Triumph (very similar) and used it from very early on. They were quite snug in there and it folds down so well and fits through every door.

I have the Twin Techno and couldn't use it until around 5 months. The straps seemed to cut into their little shoulder area when they were so small.

I have the Maclaren twin techno and I used it to bring my boys home from NICU. Mine came with shoulder straps and I rolled up blankets on the sides since they were still so small so I didn't have any problems. The seats recline really far compared to a seating position in a car seat so definetely can be used for small babies. I never use my car seats to move them (too heavy to lug around) and solely rely on the stroller. I think the stroller is on the heavier side (compared to a single), but I have gotten used to it.
