We are doing really good at eating table food for breakfast and dinner but need ideas for lunch.... Right now we do a fresh fruit (apple, peach, pear, etc.) goldfish, crackers, or puffs, baby food and yogurt (still working on that one :)) It just doesnt seem like enough but I dont know what else to try.

They do like mac&cheese, peas, green beans, potatoes, pretty much any table food but they get those for dinner so I need something else for lunch. What do you guys do?

I feed mine a lot of the same for lunch and dinner. Mine love those pasta pick ups from Gerber and pretty much any other kinds of pasta. They also really like deli meat, turkey or ham. All fruits, cooked carrots, cooked califlower and cheese (Green Giant frozen), I pull chicken apart for them, french fries, hamburger meat, just about anything. I always struggle on making sure they all they need in a day!

For awhile mine loved quesadillas. I would put cheese along with beans, lunch meat, or chicken and toast in the toaster oven. I used my kitchen scissors to cut them into little strips.
They also like grilled cheese and leftovers from the dinner before.
I try to think of it by food groups, so for lunch they get a protien, carb, veggie and sometimes a fruit. On rushed days a yogurt with toast and a veggie works great.

    For lunch we do

leftovers from dinner the night before
    fettucci alfredo (Stouffers frozen)
    mac and cheese (Stouffers frozen)
nitrate, antibiotic free turkey bologna or other cold meat (from Trader Joes), w/ cheese
    Gerber chicken/carrot ravioli
    spaghettios
    grilled cheese (huge favorite)

We usually also throw in some type of fruit and a veggie as well.

grilled cheese is becoming a favorite - or how about chicken nuggets - Weaver (in a blue bag) can be nuked in a minute or 2 and they are actually tasty - all white meat chicken...

pasta is good too - mine LOVE pasta and sauce

Thanks guys! I was drawing a blank when it came to lunch. My girls are HUGE cheese fans so a grilled cheese sounds great! We never have left overs after dinner so thats out....

At 13 months, I think we were doing mostly regular table food. I would do leftovers from last night's dinner, lunchmeat, avocado, mac and cheese, grilled sandwiches, soup, stuff like that. I try to make sure they have a meat or cheese, veggie, and a fruit. HTH!

Mine loved cheese tortellini and ravioli. We cut them in halfs or fourths. We also did fish sticks cut into pieces, sandwiches cut into bite size pieces and quesadillas. ANd keep expanding the veggie options. Before long, they will refuse most veggies.

For lunch we always have yogurt. With that they also can have: grilled cheese, chicken patty, chicken nuggests, fish sticks, mac and cheese, pizza. I pretty much rotate between those, or sometimes they may have dinner leftovers from the night before. I may also give some fruit or peas or corn, and usually some crackers or something like that too.

Mine love cheese cubes! They love to feed themselves so I often run some frozen peas and/or carrots under some hot water to thaw and gently warm, toast or bread, they love apples right now, strawberrries some kind of fruit.

looks like you already got some great ideas...just wanted to add a few unmentioned lunch time favorite around here:

*Gardenburgers...90 seconds in the microwave and you're done! I just cut it into cubes or strips and they gobble it up.

*Chicken/Turkey meat sticks by Gerber: ALWAY keep some on hand for a last minute quick lunch.

*Tuna Salad: The boys also really love tuna salad w/relish. It's not really a finger food, so I just spoon feed them. This is one of my favorites for a quick, not messy lunch (b/c I'm feeding them).
