my LO's love grilled cheese but when we are 'on the go' so to speak, it gets cold and nasty when i pack it up with us.
besides a jar of food, it would be much easier to pull something apart and give it to the LOs when we are out.

any finger-food type meals that are easy to pack up?

I had Tupperware bowls that were divided into 3 sections & I would take those with 3 different finger foods. So, maybe small pieces of bread, cubes of cheese, and a fruit of some kind. The bowls had lids that fit securely & I would just toss them in the diaper bag & I was ready to go.

One of my boys favorite lunches is the ditallini pasta , some cut up turkey meatballs, and frozen peas. They also love cheese and rice cakes. I think both of those would be easy to transport.

For something already done up, the lunchables jr. is good (diced ham or turkey, cheese, and mini ritz crackers).

Otherwise, I would pack stuff like string cheese, pretzels or crackers, and fruit of some sort (I like the freeze dried fruits...they are very portable).

My on the go snack or meal is usually yogurt with crackers, it's very filling and they love it so I know it will get eaten.
