Okay.. so this started in the shower this morning around 1045, just severe pains (occasionally almost to tears) on my lower right side above my pelvic bone.. I was bawled over with the pains.. they would come and go.. we drove to the soccer game and i was feeling better for that hour, then when I stood up to leave, it was back same spot, same ouchhes!!.. so we came home and i laid down and napped.. now i am feeling good, but still laying down..

i spoke with a nurse at the game that said it may be round ligament pain, but to go in if it didn't stop.. soooo I am just wondering if you all had any imput as to what i am feeling? I am 28 weeks and 6 days..

Your appendix is on your right side. When I had my appendix out, I felt sick to my stomach and was keeling over in pain. Hopefully that is not it, but I just wanted to throw that out to you.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like round ligament pain to me too. If it doesn't stop, it can't hurt to see a doc, just in case.

At first I thought appendix too- but the further along we get in pregnancy it can move upward in the belly and present more as upper abdominal pain- so I would tend to think round ligament pain too. But I agree with PP I would call if it doesn't subside.

I thought it was round ligament pain right away. I'm just worried that you were doubled over. Don't hesitate to get it checked out.

Sounds like SPD (Symphisis Pubic Disorder) which is a separation or loosening of the Pubic Symphisis bone from the cartilage. It can be extreemly painful, and unfortunately the only relief is delivery of your babies... I have had this since about 16 weeks and it has gotten progressively worse, but some women have said that theirs has come and gone. I have so far not been able to find any real relief from this although some have said that a chiropractor can use what is called the Wilson Method to help, I did have some therapy, but there was no change.

Talk to your OB about the possiblilty of this disorder, but I can tell you that most in the US don't acknowledge this as an issue since it is not threatening to the babies. Regardless talk about it with them and go in like they said if you are at all concerned just to be sure it is not something else.

Good luck and I am crossing my fingers for you! I hope you don't have it to the extent that I do (my bone has completely detached from the cartilage... I can hear and feel it moving.
